章節 5: Royal Siblings

I have never seen their faces even once because I am forbidden to leave my courtyard but I somehow know them by their name because of Zi Yan. All the princess are all arrogant while the princes are in conflict because they are fighting for the position of the emperor.

Even the emperor, my father is not the true crown prince, and he got his position by creating an incident when the crown prince was ambushed in the war and caused his death that lead the previous emperor severe illness and when the previous emperor died he succeeded the throne. It may even weird for me to learn about it but this is the palace and when it comes to palace information Zi Yan somehow get this from her gossips with the palace women.

Specially right now it seems that the tragedy will repeat itself because of the conflict with the princes.

"9th princess?" I was startled when someone suddenly called me and I finally realize that I'm not yet giving my regards to the emperor and the one who calls me is the eunuch.

"He... He Yanyu greets imperial father and imperial mother and siblings" I said then bow my head.

He just dismissed me by using his hand and didn't even look at me but I can see the looks that my supposed brothers and sisters while looking at me.

I may not be directly looking at them but just by the use of my peripheral vision I can see the disgust in their action.

I immediately turn to my seat when the emperor dismissed me. I'm one of the youngest so my seat is very far so it had taken me a while to get to it.

The one in my left is the 8th Princess while the one in my right is the 10th princess and the 6th prince. The latter are both from the same mother in which a lowly officer's daughter. That officer helped the emperor to plot everything so that his daughter who fell in love with the emperor can marry each other. They have plotted my mother's illicit affair with the emperor and when the morning came they accuse her of seducing the emperor.

The palace really is a scary place that's why I really want to leave this place, I just want to live a normal and peaceful life but why do I have to meet this people.

When I have taken my seat the 8th princess just glance at me then act as if she didn't see anything while the two siblings on my right just sneered at me and looked at me provocatively.

"So you are the 9th princess no wonder you look so ugly it's because you came from a lowly maid" The 10th princess said which you may think that she's older than me because of the manner on how she talk to me even though I'm her older sister.

I just ignored her which resulted to her annoyed look. I don't really care about her I'm supposed to leave from this place tomorrow and move to Lou kingdom to prepare the wedding.
