Lin Zijian was five years old when his parents decided to get divorced.

Constant fights in the house had made little Zijian scared. He used to hide in a small dark room whenever a quarrel broke out between his parents. His father, Lin Tianhao, was one of the biggest businessmen and his mother was a well-known doctor. Even though both of them had a busy schedule they would always make time for their son. He was the apple of their eye.

When Lin Zijian heard that they were going to divorce, his initial reaction was happy that his parents will no longer quarrel with each other. He didn't know then what divorce meant. He jumped in joy seeing his parents had agreed to stop quarreling. His mother left him and his father. He was clueless about the fact.

The next morning Lin Zijian was surprised to see that his mother had already left without telling him. He decided to wait for her to return in the evening to ask her the reason why she had left so early. In the evening, seeing that his mother had not yet returned he asked the butler where she was.

The butler told him that his mother has left him and his father and would not return anymore. Hearing this, he was shocked. He chose not to believe the butler's words. He continued waiting for her.

The wait lasted for more than a week. He started having the feeling that the butler was saying the truth. His father too slowly reduced the frequency of visiting him. His little heart was deeply hurt causing drastic changes in his behavioral pattern. Only after it had reached a severe stage his teachers informed his parents.

Both of them felt guilty, they were so preoccupied with themselves that they stopped caring about their beloved son. They decided to confront him. They went home hoping to talk to him. Little did they knew that their son can never be the old self again
