Eun Young and Dal Rae went out for lunch in a restaurant nearby. As soon as they sat down, Dal Rae could no longer hold in her curiosity so she quickly interrogated the woman that sat opposite her.
"Quickly! Tell me everything. Don't. Leave. Out. Details!" She demanded.
They first placed their orders and soon, Eun Young was telling Dal Rae everything. She was after all, the only friend she truly trusted. They've been through so much together and Dal Rae was always there to witness most of the important events in her life.
"What? That little..." Dal Rae cursed. "If he enters through that door right now I swear I'm gonna kick his ass right through the ICU. I thought you said he wasn't fooling around anymore? What the hell?"
Eun Young took a few sips of wine from her glass. "I thought so too. Apparently..." She wasn't able to finish her sentence for she was lost with words.
It was difficult to admit but she really thought and believed that Min Jae wasn't seeing anybody else anymore. It was hard to forget. The memories clung painfully. And so the moment he confirmed it himself, it was like a slap to her that brought back all her insecurities and doubts.
"It's okay, honey. It's not your fault. It's that dumbass Min Jae's fault." Dal Rae gently held her hand to assure her.
Eun Young took a deep breath. "I'm okay. I'm going to be okay." She said with full determination. "I've thought things through last night... and I've decided to be a stronger and better person than who I was before."
Dal Rae excitedly clapped her hands. "That's right girl! Go get 'em! For a while back there, I honestly thought you'd be dwelling on this severely. Nevertheless, allow me to take this opportunity to tell you that you can always talk to me if you need someone to listen to you hun."
It wasn't long before their meals were finally served and the two ladies were casually enjoying the food and each other's company. Just like back in the day, they always had each other's backs.
"Wait, pardon me for bringing this up but... what do you plan on doing now?" Dal Rae suddenly asked. "Are you going to dump Min Jae and grabe someone hotter, someone sexier or someone... wild in--"
"Oh Dal Rae!" Eun Young warned.
Aigoo, this girl really needs to meet someone else. ASAP! Obviously her sex life was a total dry and crumbling waste land. Poor Dal Rae...
Eun Young scoffed at her own thougts. It's not like hers was any better!
"Okay! Okay! You're right. Min Jae is indeed the real deal. He's got everything but loyalty!" Eun Young's friend angrily exclaimed.
Dal Rae gulped down the remaining wine in her glass, shot up her hand and asked the waiter for a refill. Damn, she really was upset. Her reaction was worse than how Eun Young first reacted when she knew of Min Jae's betrayals.
"Hey, take it easy." Eun Young warned her. "We still have to return to the hospital for our afternoon shift. You wouldn't want to be suspended for working drunk, would you?"
Dal Rae nodded like an obedient daughter. "Yes, this will be the last glass." She promised. "But hey, if you aren't going to dump him, then what are you going to do? You didn't turn into a masochist overnight too right?"
Eun Young sneered. "Of course not! I already told you that I'm going to handle things differently this time around." She said. And with that, Eun Young called for the bill and she paid for their meals in full.
Dal Rae was about to fix her make up when she all of a sudden caught a glimpse of someone familiar in the corner of her compact mirror. When she took a closer look, she was right! That man was Min Jae! But he wasn't alone...
Clinging onto him like a lost puppy was a small woman. Min Jae paid no attention to her but her eyes were definitely shining with happiness. It looked as if they've just returned from lunch! What the hell!
Eun Young shortly noticed the panic-stricken look on her friend's face. "Dal Rae, what's wrong? Are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost."
"I... I... E-Eun Young!" Dal Rae stuttered. Dal Rae was panicking as she was looking for the right words to say.
How the f*** does a person tell her friend that she freaking caught her husband on the act of cheating?!
Before Dal Rae could even begin to say a word, Eun Young already saw them. Her eyes narrowed at the sight of the two people. They were walking down the pathway until they finally disappeared as they entered the office building nearby.
He even dared to bring a mistress in the office?! Damn, I haven't even set foot in that building!
"Eun Young, what are we going to do? Ugh! The sight of them just released my inner bazooka! Let's go! We should teach that witch a thing or two about detatching oneself from a married man!" Dal Rae blabbered on.
"Wait for me here." Eun Young commanded, completely disregarding what Dal Rae said about them going together.
"Dang it! She even sticks more than the velcro in my pants does! Wait... what? Where are you going?"
Eun Young stood up and swiftly removed her doctor's coat. "Hold it for me." She instructed Dal Rae. "As soon as I come back from that building, you have to be there to give this back to me so that I don't freeze to death. Understood?"
Dal Rae had no choice but to nod and agree. She was left dumbfounded when Eun Young removed her coat. That lady is slaying!
"But... what are you gonna do?" Dal Rae managed to nervously ask.
"I think it's finally time I set foot on the company my husband owns."
