Huo Yunshen nodded and averted his gaze from Jing Xi. His eyes were focused on the kids that were playing.
"The kids love your present," Jing Xi said. "Look at how happy they are now."
"That's good."
Being able to hear his daughter's laughter again soothed his heart.
Little Grape noticed his father was there and slid down the slide.
He ran to the door and shouted, "Daddy! Join us!"
"I'm fine. You kids have fun," Huo Yunshen replied.
"But, I want daddy to play with us!" Little Grape begged.
"Why don't you go? The kids need you," Jing Xi urged.
"But… I…"
Huo Yunshen wanted to say that it would be weird to play in the playground as a grown man and a king.
"No one will laugh at you," Jing Xi said. "You can forget that you're a king and be a father when you're with them."
Huo Yunshen could not find any fault in Jin Xiaoxi's words. He took off his shoes and went onto the playground.
