章節 247: I like spaghetti too!

Edwin Grey left his daughter, Lillian, to think and make the right decision.

Inside the room, it was her alone where silence haunted and forced Lillian to consider seriously. She sat there, on her bed, soon to lie down to comfort her spine and brain.

'What do I wishing for, now that Giselle is in front of me!' Lillian wondered.

"What I want to do now?" she tried saying it out loud, so at least something can spark her sensible enough to follow considering. However, nothing ignited to her heeds.

Lillian lay there on her bed with a numb brain and a sick heart.

Then as a random thought that crossed her stupor, Lillian repeated Edwin's words, and almost all she is closest with, tell her that Giselle is a hindrance to her personal life. Followed by which, Lillian is incompetent of falling in love with anyone other than Giselle.

Lucy!

The face of the dashing model crossed Lillian's mind, almost instantly arguing over the reminded accusation. She blinked to her surprise.

'Why?'

'Why am I thinking of Lucy?'

'Also, why now, after a long time?'

Jerking up at once from the shocking flashing imagery of Lucy's face to contradict Edwin's wise words, Lillian stood up to wander inside her room. Her mind was busily occupying of thoughts of Lucy.

Lillian Grey probably thought of her current interest for once in a blue moon while on this own house arrest. Rest of the lonely times, she was busy distracting herself from remembering that fateful encounter that makes her blood boil.

"I should at least send a text to Lucy," Lillian whispered to herself and moved to find her mobile when only clashed with the thought of leaving behind her phone at her home as she fled in haste.

Lillian, holding on to the edge of the small study table, reacted by throwing out a couple of curse words in vain. She suffered another shock of not memorizing Lucy's contact when an idea to call her from Edwin's phone aroused.

Blaming herself to this circumstance with abandoning Lucy without a word made Lillian go insanely furious and horror-filled upon anticipating Lucy's current mental state. Even thinking of such a scenario puts Lillian into mental agony.

A mountain of apologies will never condone Lillian's behavior.

The pressure steamed through her skull and made her lose the balance to fall on the floor this time. She cried from fear and stress. Just when she thought there is only Giselle to handle, Lillian is put to feel guilt from deserting Lucy.

The situation is more grave than releasing a new book- is what Lillian thought.

While her mind fought back and forth with Giselle and Lucy, Lillian sensed how much she changed with Lucy's appearance in her life. If it were not Lucy and anyone before her whom Lillian dated, then this wouldn't be much of a painful battle.

Lillian would ignore them to focus on facing Giselle, but not this time, with Lucy playing a strong contender. She realized the impact and how intimate Lucy and herself became for Lillian to even consider her feelings while being away. It could never happen with anyone she dated previous to the model.

As registering such a notion, guilt feelings hit Lillian in her gut. She felt as if cheating the poor soul who out there might still be reaching out to Lillian Grey and who knows what she did at the end of her discovering.

Even though her feelings for Giselle stayed alive without quitting, Lillian still felt bad for Lucy. Maybe she did fall for that young lady a little and that Lucy made an impression with an honest way of expressing her love to Lillian.

..

Lillian faced a cruel reality of feeling guilty for the first time in love, where she considers Lucy's sincere passion against the immortal love for Giselle.

It hurts Lillian slight to go behind Lucy's back, but she has to, and that is fate, her love can bestow upon her.

First, Lillian chose to confront Giselle and then decide for herself what to do next with two women who are making her feel things she never felt so familiarly.

By now, Edwin's call reached upstairs to Lillian's room to invite her down for lunch.

Lillian picked up herself from the floor and glanced one sharp look at self and wiped away any sweat to hide the brief cry of sorrow-filled anxiety.

She heads downstairs to find the television switched off, which means the surprise guests are already seated at the dining table. Coming down, Lillian never felt anything except an exhausted body and a hungry stomach from eating early in the morning. She hurried with her steps and entered the kitchen, where she found the table crowded all of a sudden. What stunned Lillian was how much it looks pleasing to see all together!

Lillian pinched herself to test the time, and yes, it is a reality since there existed one humble soul amongst her favorite crowd, Lia.

Lillian doesn't hate Lia but finds her presence depressing. Seeing her makes her think that Giselle is out of reach anymore and that the separation is further painful to cope.

"Come sit, Lilly," Edwin waved his hands happily.

Lillian joins with an absolute reserve and glancing short sights to the guests with a soft smile of greetings. She looks at the table to find Edwin unveiling the lid to expose their menu.

"Spaghetti?" Lillian uttered in curiosity.

"Spaghetti!!!" Lia shrieked in jolly.

Lillian glimpsed and saw the little one's easily the happiest smiling face, which reflected it's mother to the spectator.

Giselle smiled at Lia while Edwin served the long thread of cooked noodles with the savory meatballs on to Lia's plate. She gets first, and then Giselle, followed by Lillian, and Edwin, himself, attended the dish.

Lillian looked her plate and scanned the other and realized the order of serving and succeeded in suspecting that Edwin chose to cook food that the young girl likes.

Sighing in vain where she mentally cried for the struggling position she is in, to Edwin's happily entertaining his guest.

'I like spaghetti too!' - Lillian mused as she swirled her fork to gather the thread and put it soon into her mouth.

Everyone ate in shared silence except for Lia, who fought to strain herself of letting out a happy groan from eating her favorite food.

At one point, she couldn't include the cut meatball with her noodles and kept struggling to miss. Her attempts went unnoticed to others but not to the one who sat next to her and was holding a sensitive sight, Lillian Grey.

Lillian side-glanced at Lia multiple times to find her failing at bringing this meat and wheat together. Having it done, Lillian put down her fork and twisted her torso to seize Lia's fork and helped her get the two together and left it on the plate for the kid to pick and eat.

Her movements were quick to other's eyes, yet they all witnessed this great savior. Lia on the receiving end of this kind help eyed at Lillian with much gratitude. Lillian did not stare directly and only nodded slightly to respond.

Meanwhile, Edwin and Giselle exchanged glances and then ended up watching Lillian silently continue to eat.

Giselle softened while Edwin covered his smirk from displaying.

Lillian focused on finishing her meal earlier and returned her room to seek refuge.

***

The cold day of Saturday ended with night crawling around the corner and shadowing the streets, where lights turned on to illuminate the space and homes.

Giselle and Lia stayed in their spare guest room, which is on the first floor next to Edwin's. Lia stayed in and rarely left to seek the company while Giselle stayed with her daughter. She kept thinking of a way to talk to Lillian and request her to return. After all, that is her mission to achieve.

Since lunch, Lillian stayed in her room without ever coming out. It bothered the visitor with executing her plans. Giselle feared as she reported to Shane with the day almost planning to end with no fruitful results. Shane encouraged her to leave Lillian free for now and then catch up with her tomorrow. Giselle believed that it is the best solution.

She agreed with a return text, and to her startling, the door suddenly opened to reveal a surprise visitor.

"Are you free now?" the visitor asked.

Giselle looked at the time, and it is still early and agreed to her free hour.

"Care to go for a walk?" the visitor invited.

Lia looked up from reading her storybook. Giselle took a minute to organize and then worded Lia to stay put until she returns and seeks Edwin for any help, for he will dearly care to do it.

"Let's go," Giselle said and left the room, accompanied by Lillian Grey, closely following her behind.

Lia remained in her seat with an astound expression on her face. She worried a little to see Lillian Grey stealing her mother away.
