"You don't have to worry. I'm not interested in Love anymore." Giselle snapped.
"Woah, alright. Chill. Anyways, other than his smooth talk, he is talented and little bit cocky. You can learn a lot of stuff from him. Plus, he's one of best, so make sure to grasp all the knowledge from him." Wallace added.
...
"Hey Jenna, long time no see," Ian yelled.
"Oh, Ian. Yeah, it's been so long. I need to get something from here. I will leave though. It's my off day actually." Jenna smirked.
Ian Miguel is the editor for Edwin, one of the top four authors at KeyLine Publication. Since he's working on his new book, Ian is busy occupied with work. Hearing Jenna bragging about her 'off-days', pissed him off.
"So, why are you here, then? Get out of my sight." Ian replied furiously.
"haha... I said, I just happened to stop by and pick up my things in here." Jenna graved seriously.
However, looking at Ian busy at work, she knew the cycle of being an Editor. The days are often filled with 'missed meals', 'lack of sleep' and 'pulling those 'all-nighters'.
"Sorry, Ian,"
"For What?"
"You're alone in here. Mei is on a book tour with Caesar." Jenna replied.
Ian suddenly started laughing aloud. It made Jenna feel anxious. His sly laughter can make one think that the man had gone insane.
"Who said I'm alone?" Ian boasted.
"You're not?" Jenna gasped.
Ian nodded. He requested Jenna to come closer and when she did, he spilled the beans.
"Yeah. So, Jayce's new editor is in here."
"What???" Jenna appalled.
"Exactly. She's with Wallace now. You know the drill. I think their session is about to end soon. Maybe you want to wait."
"Why would I?" Jenna's interest dropped down quickly.
"Meet and greet?"
"I think maybe later!!!" Jenna said.
A moment of Silence swept Ian and he felt like kicking out Jenna from the building.
"Get out of my sight immediately. I shall meet Ms. Giselle by myself."
The name rang a bell in Jenna's mind. 'Giselle' she thought hard while leaving the place. However, before exiting, she stopped. 'GISELLE', the one who Ms. Grey had been searching for so long decades!!!
Jenna ran back to the office.
"What happened now? did you leave something?" Ian ridiculed.
"No."
"Then what?"
"I'll wait"
"For who?"
"For the meet and greet." Jenna looked impatient.
She kept looking at Wallace's office eagerly.
Ian felt discomfort. His only chance of meeting a new female employee all alone has now vanished in front of his eyes. He regretted his decision in revealing Jenna about the new editor.
Now that both of them were waiting eagerly for their fellow colleague to come out of Wallace's office.
"Help me with this while you're here, waiting for the meet and greet!!!" Ian handed out a document to Jenna.
Jenna's eyes widened. Her look turned evil targetting Ian.
"It won't work on me, little girl. I didn't give you any huge task. Just edit the document and give it back to me. That'll do." Ian requested.
Jenna couldn't refuse. She accepted it immediately and soon her work mode switched ON. Within the next few minutes, she edited the document as fast as she could and completed her task.
By the time she finished with her work, someone came out of Wallace's room. Both the editors' eyes twitched. They heard the noise and quickly aborted their current mission. Ian corrected his hair and looked himself in the 'selfie-mode' while Jenna had her eyes fixed on the woman who had left Wallace's office.
The woman passed the editors' room and then went straight to Shane's office. Soon after a few minutes, she returned back and saw two figures staring at her intensively. Looking at them, Giselle wondered if they wanted to talk to her. So, she approached them near.
Giselle pointed at herself, expressing 'do you want something from me?'.
"Hi there, I'm Ian." Ian introduced himself.
"I'm Giselle..." she replied back.
"Are you Edwin's editor?" Giselle guessed it correctly.
"Look like the session went pretty well. you're still in the Zone." Ian giggled.
"Yeah."
While these two were conversing, Giselle felt an intense stare from the person standing next to Ian. It was Jenna.
Her eyes were completely staring at Giselle which even creeped out Ian. Giselle got anxious.
"Aah... the food truck little girl's mother. I knew it. I knew that I met you somewhere before." Jenna screamed.
It startled both Ian and Giselle. Giselle's memory rewind to the time when her daughter Lia, had a brief chat with a woman who helped her with the menu. 'Oh, so it's her.' Giselle thought to herself.
"Oh!!!" Giselle gasped.
"Oops, sorry. I got a little too excited. I'm Jenna. Nice to Meet you, Giselle." Jenna smiled warmly.
"My pleasure, Jenna." Giselle replied and took a steady look at Jenna as she remembered Wallace telling her that 'Jenna' is the top best editor at KeyLine. Giselle made sure to remember her face.
"ugh... then... please forgive me... I should leave now. I have to pick up my daughter from school." Giselle excused herself and walked out to the exit. Ian made sure to say her 'goodnights' and take care'. He then went back to work. On the other end, while Giselle was about to exit, she heard Jenna calling her name.
"Mrs. Giselle!!! wait..." Jenna ran to her.
"I'm leaving too, let's head out together." Jenna giggled.
"Alright," Giselle said and both the ladies walked out of the building together.
