"Really, Miss Max? You do fashion designing? " Glenda's eyes widened in amazement.
"Yes, in fact, I left the country for five years to accept a fashion designing job. My employer saw my potentials so he sent me further to fashion school to get a bachelor's degree ."
"Wow, really? I am a fashion lover, you know. I love dresses, new styles, new trends. That is one of my greatest obsessions. " Glenda's eyes flickered in excitement.
Her love for fashion outweighed her own desire to be a mother during her
first three years in marriage. She felt flattered and proud in every admiration she got from her circle of friends, most especially from those socialites within her women's league. The women's league, which she belonged to, was composed of married women from higher social statuses who were united for a common objective, to reach out those women who were less fortunate, mostly of whom, were subjects to domestic violence.
