章節 41: A long night Part 2
"Something is off about this village!" Veer sounded so tensed.
The atmosphere of the village was not something of the normal one. The village was completely silent... as if no one was present. They all felt odd. Shiv and his team were on full guard as they moved slowly.
"This smell... its oil! Shit!" Before Aditya could finish warning them the were completely surrounded by the sea of flames.
"ARGH!!! "
The screams of the tortured villagers were ringing on their ears!
"We lost them! They didn't take this route to reach the border! They took the longer route! Try to save as many peasants as possible. We... Argh.." Before Shiv could finish, his horse was shot with an arrow and he fell the ground.
Aditya rushed down from his horse and went to Shiv, "Shiv! Are you alright?" He helped him up by lifting him by his arm.
Another arrow was shot to their direction, Dev blocked that arrow for Shiv with his sword.
"It seems like we have completely fallen into their trap!" The guy brought by veer sounded so agitated.
'If only.... if only I didn't lose my cool the moment Ira was kidnapped... this might not have happened!'
Shiv ground his teeth as he tried to stand with the help of Aditya.
He felt a sheer pain on his right ankle.
"Shiv... what happened? Did you sprain your ankle? Damn what a bad time to get hurt!" Aditya sighed!
Shiv clenched his fisted harder, "Don't worry about me! We have to save the peasants now! I can still fight!"
.....
'Shiv.... Where are you.... I am scared! If I don't get up now.... I can't even imagine what they will do to me.... I... can't lose my consciousness now!'
Ira could barely hold on to her conscience. The blow she took on her head was a little too hard for her to handle...
"Help... I need help... Some...one... please... help me..."
"Hahaha! Look at the little lass now! She is begging for help now? Hump! Where did you vigour from before go! Hahaha!"
"What? What is this light? Its blinding one's eyes! What is happening here?"
The bright light surrounded Ira body as she slowly started to disappear!
"HEY! What's happening to this chick? She is fading! Damn this light! I can't even see properly! Am I even seeing things now?"

"We are surrounded! We can't act rashly!" Dev shouted.
"We can't just leave the people to be! We must save them! Hurry!"
When Shiv tried to enter into one of the burning hut, he was stopped by an swift arrow!
"No one is allowed to move! Why do you waste your energy! You all are going to die anyways!" One of the enemy men warned them!
