It seems there has been some confusion in the last chapter.

It isn't actually some obscure Chinese reference, it's just metaphors that aren't explained in the raws.

Please allow me to try and make things simpler by you by explaining shiz.

Pine tree = flexor tendon suture

Ash tree = nerve anastomosis

Elm tree = skin suture

(The above is just an example, it can be any skill combination)

In a forest, all three trees are found side by side = In flexon tendon repair, all three skills are used side by side.

Many pine trees, ash trees, elm trees together, what is the significance in a hospital? = Usually, in other professions, the professionals specialize in one skill only, so there is actually no need for them to learn other skills. That is not the case in hospitals, because there are few surgeons who specialize solely in nerve anastomosis and don't know other skills, which is why in the next paragraph, it says there is a significance for all trees to be together, because surgeons will need a combination of skills (trees) to perform an entire surgery.
