„Let's start with your death...wait, I am sorry I forgot to ask for your name" the dragon appeared really hurt by his own previous rudeness of not asking for my name.
I told him „my name is Valentine"
The next moment the dragon looked deep into my eyes, or what I deemed to be my eyes since I currently had no body, and peered into my very soul.
„I see" he said in a way that told me he found what he was searching for. The dragon looked at me and inquired „are you willing to start a new life since your last one ended because you were trying to safe my son? I have seen you truly care for my kind and I am willing to give you a chance no mortal has ever received."
I wondered what he meant by that but since he has quasi called himself a deity he would probably have a way for his intentions. „I cannot simply give you a new life but your interaction with my son has given me an enlightenment on how the both of you will become strong.
I will fuse your souls.
If you fail to survive my son will be reborn once more and you will face what every other mortal faces upon their ends. It may be just death or maybe heaven or hell. But for now that doesn't concern you.
I have felt that my son's soul is willing to be fused and to become equals with you. As my final thanks and to give you better chances at survival I will create and bless a body suitable for the two of you. Should you manage to become a true dragon I will see you as my kin and treat you as such. Therefore your mortal name no longer suits you.
NOW ARISE VALENTINUS DRAKE REPTILION, FIRST OF YOUR NAME AND CONQUER YOUR NEW WORLD.
Oh and by the way my son will guide you and tell you what a dragon's kin is capable of." These were the last words I heard until my consciousness drifted away once again....
