Ichigo and his group feel down through a portal into a house in what appeared to be japan about 10 years ago. They did have time to question their circumstance before Zelretch joined them.
"Explain" Ichigo said to the vampire.
"I plan to, but sit down it's a long story and I require some assistance." Zelretch said.
Zelretch began to recount his tale.
He found this world by chance, their magic system was a bit odd so he wanted to experiment with it, nothing immoral he pointed out immediately.
He needed to create a workshop, so he chose Japan. As in the whole county of japan. He set up massive amounts of bounded fields around the entire island country to prevent anyone with an ounce of magic from entering or leaving. This was a couple thousand of years ago in the world's history but not that long ago for the Dimension hoping vampire.
There was a magical revolution in the world's history, Merlin brought about a new age of magic. Saber was definitely perked up for that part and couldn't imagine the perverted fool doing any such thing.
Since that time, magic communities have sprung up all around the world. They called themselves Witches and Wizards. And since the time of Merlin, Japan has been one of the biggest magical mysteries to date. No wizard or witch had successfully gone into the barrier nor have any come out. And not for a lack of trying, there had been many attempts over the years to pierce the barrier and find out what was hiding in the island country. But to no avail, like any of these wizards could get through Zelretch's bounded field.
It was in the early 90's that this had finally became an issue in the world. A certain boy who had become famous due to events that he had no control over had gone through the barrier. A young Harry potter who had been sent to live with his aunt and uncle after his parents murder by a certain 'dark lord'. He had yet to solidify his magical core as he was taken on 'vacation' to the country. But more so to be thrown away to a random orphanage because the couple did not want to deal with a what they called a 'freak'. It was a series of coincidences that caused the world to fall into chaos. He happened to cross the barrier as his core was still dormant, so it did not detect any magic.
A Mr. Albus Dumbledore who ran a school of Witchcraft and Wizardry was the one who dropped the infant off on their doorstep for certain reasons. He was expecting a young Harry Potter to receive his School invitation to his most prestigious Magic school, Hogwarts, in the mail when he came to age. The invitations were magic in that they could automatically locate where the designated child was located with an address and they would send an owl to deliver the letter.
Well the years went by and the time arrived for a young Harry Potter to receive his invitation, except there was a problem. The letter listed the boy in name, but it had no address on it. Dumbledore was a bit shocked and quickly tried to figure out the boys location. He traveled to home he had left the boy all those years ago only to find out the truth. With a bit of Legilimency, a spell to delve into a targets mind, he looked through the memories of the couple and realized to his horror…the boy was now out of his reach.
He had plans, there was a prophecy and everything. He would slowly manipulate the boy into fulfilling the role destiny had created for him and now....Dumbledore needed a drink.
Most of the Wizarding world was awaiting for the boy to appear at Hogwarts. He was considered a hero in their culture for 'defeating' the dark lord as an infant. And that time never came, queries came up as to the boys whereabouts. It was known that Dumbledore took custody of the boy after the incident and the world didn't really argue with the man even though he legally didn't have the right. Dumbledore eventually had to reveal what happened to the boy as the Ministry of Magic had finally got involved and sought out his location after not hearing about him in over a decade. The truth came to light, the boy had been abandoned in Japan. There was a massive call to arms to penetrate the barrier and 'rescue' their young hero. All attempts were futile.
Dumbledore received quite a bit of flak for his actions, through his favors and reputation he was able to mitigate some of the damage but it was always going to be a stain on his name. Though Dumbledore was more worried about the prophecy. As the self proclaimed leader of the 'light' he thought it was his responsibility to protect the world from the forces of darkness such as Voldemort who had not yet truly died.
The first year was a bit awkward, he set up trials for the young boy for when he came to Hogwarts. He managed to get through the year without any casualties, though a hurt Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Neville Longbottom cought him some more flak. He had taken to bringing up Neville Longbottom as the replacement for the 'Prophecy' as a back up. This had proved quite the challenge as the boy was very meek and not very courageous. He dodged a bullet when the 'dark lord' did not acquire the Philosopher's Stone.
Again the next year, he sent out letters. He was starting to get a bit desperate and did something that would make people look down on him even further. He created a marriage contract between Harry Potter and A young sister of Ronald Weasley in an attempt to establish a magical connection that he could somehow find his way to the boy. While the Contract was established, it could not bind the boy through the barrier.
As Dumbledore started to lose hope, he focused more of his attention on Longbottom. He was able to create confidence in the boy that turned to Arrogance at his dismay. But he did not care at the moment, he needed a strong figure to fight the darkness. He eventually gave up on trying to contact Harry Potter and the world began to forget about him.
That was until the fourth year. They were hosting an event known as the Tri-Wizard tournament. Three schools would compete in a competition with the help of a very powerful magical artifact called the goblet of fire. When one put their name into the goblet, it would put a very powerful contract on the participant to force them to compete in the tournament.
Someone had put Harry Potter's name in it, maybe as a joke, he didn't know. But the binding was created. It had somehow breached the barrier into Japan. The world was shocked at the revelation. They were equal parts worried as well. The contract was very simple, participate or die. For some reason the wizarding world did not have any issue with binding children to a competition with the result being death if they refused.
This was when Zelretch was notified. He set up that bounded field a very long time ago and it had started to fade at this point, the goblet being powerful, found a very small hole in the barrier due to its deterioration. He quickly looked at the history of the world after he left, he was appalled at the wizarding culture. He looked at parallel versions of the world to see how events should have turned out and was disgusted at how some of the 'parent' figures of the boy had manipulated and built the boy up as a weapon against this supposed dark lord.
Zelretch was going to have fun with them. He responded to Dumbledore with a letter. This small action rocked the world. A person form inside Japan had responded to the rest of the wizarding world on behalf of Harry Potter.
What Zelretch said was simple, he was aware of what the tournament was and how it was a bit awkward to have a participant not representing a school so he offered to have a group from a 'Japanese school' come and participate. Not only would they participate, but he offered it as a cultural exchange, a teacher and a handful of students would 'shadow' the classes. They would be only students in name, but they would interact with the other classes.
Dumbledore was ecstatic, he would not only regain the boy he lost but also his reputation would skyrocket as the headmaster would be hosting students from the unknown Japanese. Word quickly spread about what was happening. A bit of back and forth between the man and Zelretch and they decided on a date they would come. It so happened to be the day after he pulled Ichigo and his group into this world.
This is where Ichigo's group came in, through some various magic, Zelretch was able to trick the world into thinking Ichigo was Harry Potter for about a year. Any magic effects that would target Harry Potter would focus on Ichigo. He explained away the different looks as a type of blood magic families can do to adopted children to make them of their bloodline. The common effects make the child develop features similar to that of their adopted parents.
"And that's about it…." Zelretch said with a smile.
"Well….this is a bit interesting" Jaina said. Learning new magic would always be fun for her.
"So you basically want us to remove this 'dark lord' for you since you screwed up and cause as much chaos as possible in the process?" Ichigo asked.
"And one of the reasons you brought me along is due to their 'worship' of Merlin and me being King Arthur would really rile them up." Saber stated.
"Correct on both accounts" Zelretch said.
"Why are me and Shirou here then?" Rukia asked Zelretch
"Since I was being selfish and dragging them here, I thought I may as well bring you to give you and Ichigo both some time together. I can only imagine how hard it is for him to juggle my four beautiful granddaughters without making each other jealous" Zelretch said with a wink towards Rukia.
Rukia perked up at the thought of having Ichigo to herself for about a year. Though that much time would not pass in their home world.
"GRANDFATHER" She said with glee as she jumped to hug the old vampire.
"GRANDDAUGHTER" Zelretch responded as he hugged the girl he turned over to his side.
"And what about me….?" Shirou asked hesitantly.
"I fear for my safety if I kept you away from her for a year…." Zelretch said as he eyed the petite blonde.
Saber gave him an evil look as Shirou let out a laugh. "Fair enough" Shirou replied.
"I'm setting up a bounded field" He said while opening a portal and having dozens of books drop onto the table.
"Time will move faster in here, you have about three days' worth of time to read these and familiarize yourself with this world. And also create a cover story, my advice; since they can't confirm anything you tell, just use your own experiences as what has been happening in Japan. For example, Hollows exist blah blah magecraft. Half truths are better than lies. So develop a cover story and don't mention world travel" Zelretch said.
"I'll be back when the barrier falls and it will be time to go" He said as he disappeared.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dumbledore was sitting at the head of the table in the grand hall. On either side were the various teachers and representatives from the other two schools that were participating in the tournament, the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang.
All the students and the guests present were waiting inanticipation. There were various reporters as well, and some people from the ministry of magic to welcome these newcomers into their society.
Dumbledore and the faculty had received a list of names that would be attending.
Teacher: Jaina Proudmoore
Students;
Ichigo Kurosaki (Formerly Harry Potter)
Rukia Kuchiki
Shirou Emiya
Artoria Pendragon
The name change was a bit unnerving for the headmaster, he would need to get his claws into the boy before they left and force him to stay. He needed the boy for the sake of the world. He had legal authority over him technically so he would claim as his guardian he wish for him to remain in Britain.
The second concern he had…the name Pendragon that last girl had. It was a very old name, it went back all the way to king Arthur. There were currently no known descendants of his so this was also a bit odd.
As the clock ticked away, everyone were waiting patiently. Some were starting to get a bit antsy that maybe this was some sort of elaborate prank.
Moments later a phenomenon happened that they did not expect. They had people waiting outside school grounds where they expected the group to apparate to since there were wards in place to stop them form doing so into school grounds.
A portal opened up at the doors to the great hall and five figures walked out.
Everyone stared at the new comers. One was a blonde with a white robe and a fur cloak with a strange symbol on the back with a Bishop in the middle. She was wielding a staff that was pulsating with power.
The next one was a petite blonde. She wore armor like a knight with a similar cloak on and another strange symbol with a knight piece in the center. She gave off a very regal aura.
Then there were the ones who clearly looked like foreigners. The first was a tall boy with bright orange hair. It was hard to believe it was real…yet it didn't' give off that fake look like most dyes and there were no magic to turn your hair orange. He wore what could be described as an oriental 'robe' with a white piece of cloth hung around like a coat with a similar symbol and a king piece in the middle. What grabbed most the attention of everyone present….the blade that hung at his waist.
Next was the petite black haired girl. She wore a similar clothing. She had a symbol on her 'coat' as well with a picture of 3 pawns in the middle. She also had a sword at her waist.
Finally was the red haired boy. He was clearly Asian, yet he had a red hair color that would put the Weasleys to shame. It was more of a rusty red though and as far as they could tell, it was also natural. He had some strange body armor. It was black and hugged his figure with two pieces of white cloth, one on his upper body and one hung around his lower body. On the upper piece was the same symbol with three pawns inside.
They all looked different but they gave off a similar feeling, Fighters. They've seen combat and are experienced in a fight.
Dumbledore was the first to regain his composure.
"Ah….our delegation from Japan I assume?" He asked towards the newcomers.
"It's nice to meet you, I am Jaina Proudmoore and I'm the chaperone for my 'students'. Jaina stated to everyone in the hall.
"If you don't mind, we have a tradition for new students when they enter Hogwarts. They get sorted into one of four houses. Since your students are staying here for the year to 'shadow' our classes I thought it would be appropriate for them to go through the same as all of ours have" Dumbledore said.
"I see no issue with this" Jaina agreed.
"Very well, please fetch the sorting hat" Dumbledore said.
A teacher brought out a chair and an old dusty hate with a face on it.
"Mr. Shirou Emiya, if you would be so kind as to come sit and put the hat on" Dumbledore said.
Sorry for the massive info dumb, it was kinda needed to explain how everything had happened. But yeah, this world is a bit easy going with some trolling. I'm doing another world after this one with power ups and his full peerage so don't freak out. Also, i'm not done for the night, onward to the next chapter!
