The boy behind the woman signed " Whatever, now will you listen to the message Master sent us? It was an urgent report that you were supposed to reply to day's ago."
With a wave of her hand that the boy translated as a yes he took out an old fashioned scroll and started reading the content.
"The Silent Queen has escaped."
_____
A long time ago, a building built purely of crystal rocks and magic appeared at the center of the line that separated what they named the Xodale; the city of humans, and the Void; a city of mystery and the supernatural.
This line was called the Grand Line, a mighty name for a powerful symbol. It represented much more than just separation, it stood for much more than that, and just like the Void; the Grand Line showed up out of nowhere.
The Grand Line is a powerful and dangerous part of the sea with waters the colour of blood, and creatures the size of warships. No simple sailor could cross the line and live to tell about it, that's why the Government took control of the line and made it only to be sailed by there ships and the transporters of the Academy; anyone caught would be sentenced to a lifetime in the thickest part of hell imaginable, along with all the criminals from the Void.
This was what the boy had heard from his father every night before he went to sleep, as a warning. Human's who opposed the government received even worse punishment than the murders and criminals of the Void, and if it was found out what he and his father had done then an even worse fate awaited them.
3 years ago, on a hunt for an abnormal six-tailed fox, he experienced something that shook his entire being; along with the members of the hunt group their mind's locked those memories as if someone put a wall inside the part of the brain that holds memories, making them forget everything they saw in that cursed forest only leaving the feeling of terror in their hearts.
Many experts were sent to that forest after the incident but it was like no life existed in that place, not a single rabbit, bird or even bug could be found, so people named it the cursed forest, and the government made a point in placing a ward preventing anyone from entering. But he wanted to go back there because something happened in that forest that changed him in more way's than one
"Kia!" a young voice called making the young boy who was sitting on a grassy hill turn around, as he turned, the sun caught his glasses in a glare making him raid his arms to block out the sun; with the shadow of his arm over his face, the boy's features became clearer and large round grey eyes stared back protected by similar round-rimmed glasses, creamy fare skin coupled with thin lin pink lips as well as a round button nose.
This boy's features had changed from three years ago, he'd become leaner and his eye's no longer heald the pitiful look they had before; instead, it was replaced with innocent confidence and a hint of a playful light in it. His name was Kia, the very same boy who was unlucky enough to gain the attention of a demon with red hair.
Not far from where he was sitting came the laboured breaths of a child who looked no less than 2-3 years old, this child shared an almost replicated look with the 12-year-old boy. "Kia! Kia!" the child yelled again but right when she was about to reach the boy an invisible rock seemed to appear in her way and she tripped, landing face first into the soft grass.
Alarmed the boy stood and raced towards the girl but the darn invisible rock appeared again making the boy land right beside the crying girl ¯\(°_o)/¯
Two figures looked on from a short distance as the two comical siblings fell, one a young woman with a plan face with a look of disappointment on her face, and the other a thin man with a wide grin that made one want to smile with him.
"Those children of yours dear," the woman said with a sigh, making the thin man chuckle and wrap an arm around her waist
"You mean our children, It takes two to tango Honey" replied the man and with a cheeky grin he ran towards his two children leaving the woman; Pan Fen, with a wide mouth and blushing cheeks. Even though they had been married for 30 years she still hadn't gotten used to he husbands crude way of talking, but instead of showing a trouble expression she couldn't help but smile with the same playful look as Kia in her eyes.
"Kia come on your going to miss the train if you don't hurry up!" Pan Fen yelled to her son after all the test was in two day's if he didn't arrive on time who knows what kind of trouble her family would be in.
