"Move it," One of the guards nudged Dr. Jakin's shoulders with the edge of his short gun, pushing out of the plane and into the forest. There were about three of them. Two had dragged Jeff by the hand, forcing him into the forest where they would probably dump him or kill him if he was not already dead. 

Like you care. A still small voice said in Jakin's head. Guilt flowed through his soul as he tried to drive the cold by burying his cuffed hands under his lab coat. This was all his fault. He had let his anger and his hunger for power intoxicate him. He had followed the tides that lead to destruction and hatred. What was it called again? Oh, yes, he remembered. It was called the KIDAV cycle. He had read it somewhere in the ancient book titled Pride Of Alaocha. The KIDAV cycle. Killing, Death, Anger, and Vengeance. That was his blight of guilt now, and he was sure they would eat him for the rest of his life.
