Average 20% each for 72 rabbits seems to be a good amount of experience per monster if I have to say. But there seems to be a problem because each of us gets a different amount; So it's either they divided by participation or there's another way to get experience other than fighting monsters; The question is what.
All the students gathered again after the end of the day but instead of 600 students, this time it's only 300+ students group up in the middle of the village. Most of the students are battered up with dust and bruises but some of them really clean and tidy like they are on the picnic.
'I guess some students still can't adapt to the conditions and decided to stay in the village. It's not a bad idea to observe the conditions first but they still have to do something in the end.' I thought, gazing at couple clean looking students; 'Maybe they never play RPG games so they don't really know what to expect, should I help them? Nah, I better help myself first as for now I'm as helpless as they are if not for James, Alice, and Kana.'
Our instructor told us to carefully review our experience so we can do better tomorrow. They also warn us to be careful so we don't fall prey like others 200+ students who seem to be killed by monsters. After the 10 minutes lecture by the instructor, they told us to log off and go back to the real world.
I woke up in the same classroom and the first thing I feel is hunger; Like really bad, I feel like I could 1 whole turkey in one sitting. Before I can complain about my hunger problem I heard a series of stomach complaining to their owner including mine. Our helper in the classroom told us that food are already prepared in the cafeteria and we can go straight home after we eat.
The cafeteria is noisier than usual due to a lot of excited students sharing their experience in the game world. I ask Anna about her experience and she told me how she fares so far. She is also in a group of 4 with 3 of his friends; she acts as a frontliner while 2 others are ranged damage dealer and 1 mage who can help to control the enemy.
She gets average 40% exp from the haul for killing spiked boars. Spiked boar is a level 4 monster so it yields more experience compare to the horned rabbit. The downside of the monster is they classified as medium to large monster so it can only fit in the big inventory slot.
They have to go back and forth from the village to the hunting ground so they waste a lot of time there. And the material price also not that expensive so they sacrifice a bit more money for more experience. Granted they already more equipped than us so it's not that much sacrifice.
Hearing Anna's story Alice is getting super excited and ask us to hunt a different monster tomorrow. Before I can ponder about it Anna decided for us to hunt other monsters. She said after at a certain point killing the same monsters over and over again would yield you less amount of EXP.
I ask her is it because of a level difference? Like in RPG game the same monster would yield you more exp if you're level 1 compared to level 2 character. The answer to that questions is no; Somehow the monster EXP would diminish as you get familiar with killing it over and over again.
Her instructor told her it's because the system would not grant you any exp if you fight a weaker enemy. The system pushes all of us to get stronger and to do so they encouraged us to challenge keep challenging ourselves.
We went straight back home after we fill our stomach; Alice keeps blabbering to Mom and Dad about her experience and how excited it was. Dad asks me about how I fare and I told him about how useless I was. Father pat me on my shoulder and told me to give it time and figure my own way where I can strive.
I ask him where can I buy instrument type equipment so I can train to create command spells in the game world. He said it's very hard to obtain one in the tutorial village due to lack of various material. To make a zither, like the one I used in the school you need a strong string, woods with good quality, and some animal leather.
Only small amount of spider and worm type monster can yield string and there's almost none of them are available in the tutorial village. He said later in the real game world there would be a lot of chances to get one but there's almost none available in tutorial villages. If I'm lucky maybe the native would give me as a quest reward.
After hearing the natives can give quest I got really excited and ask my dad all about it. Turns out not only the native can give you a quest. Even a player can give one if they gave an equal amount of rewards.
I ask him for advice for our equipment and stuff but he told me he doesn't have that much knowledge about that kind of stuff. He focuses mostly on skill research so equipment stuff is out of his reach. He told me the importance of weight management and if you exceed your weight limit you'll spend a certain amount of stamina for everything you do. After he said that I also remember James saying that a bit of his stamina decreasing every time he blocks his enemy. Fortunately, stamina restores faster compare to HP so we didn't really notice it. Dad said that if our stamina reaches 0 we would be stunned for 10 seconds or until our stamina is full.
We spent the whole evening chatting about different stuff until Mom called us for dinner. I didn't eat much as I still digesting the food I ate in the cafeteria. I went straight to bed after dinner can't wait to dive in the game world tomorrow.
