Standing in the middle of a blood soak field, littered with the body of fallen Rosen heavy cavalry knights numbers in the hundreds, stood a humanoid figure in a black cloak and a few other figures, in his hand of the leading figure were six pieces Death crystals.
"Just barely enough…."he whispered as he held six pieces of Death crystal, this person was none other than Leonard, after spending some time in the northern garrison city and made report of his finding to his father Erik, Leonard quickly took a horse from the stable and quietly followed the reinforcement army from behind, he made sure to not attract their attention, he watched as they caught up with the Rosen knights and slaughtered them before headed toward his second brother for reinforcement.
After the reinforcement army left a blood soak field behind when they're done fighting, it is when Leonard made his move, he went into the middle of the carnage field and uses his magic to gather all the newly added death energy from the surrounding to created more death crystal for his advancement, he then look at the corpses that were laying on the fields and smirk.
"Look like I can use these for extra reinforcement in the northern border."
Northern border, right now, a chaotic battle has broken out between the Rosen Kingdom and the Evergreen kingdom.
Within one of the large tent that belongs to the Evergreen kingdom.
A young man in plate armor was sitting behind a large desk with a large detailed map of the surrounding, he had a heavy expression on his face, this young man is none other than the second son of Erik, the current commander of the northern border, Vandal Welser.
Vandal currently planning a strategy to fight back against the invader of their land.
"Tsk….damn those bastards of the Rosen Kingdom…." he curses, a knight then rushed into his tent and saluted him.
"How's the situation in the field?" Vandal asked the knight.
"Reporting Commander, the situation is that of a stalemate, our army has managed to hold off their advances even if we were outnumbered." the knight reported.
"Good, as long as nothing unexpected happens, we will win this when more of our reinforcement arrived, the last reinforcement wasn't enough!" he thought.
"Alright, keep on monitoring the field, and report any changes to me," he ordered the knight.
To which the knight saluted and quickly headed back out to the battlefield.
Outside on the battlefield.
The two army lined up and facing one another.
"Hmmm...something strange…." one of the old field captains within the Evergreen kingdom rank muttered.
"What is it that's strange, captain?" a young knight asked him.
"I don't know...it just felt weird….never in my life have I seen the Rosen kingdom send over so many of their troops against us," he told the man.
"Never in your life?" the young knight asked.
"Yes...at most, they would only send over a small army of around a few hundred...at most a thousand to skirmish the border...not sending in something that's in the ten of thousand." the old captain told the young man.
"Huh? What is that?" the old captain eyes went wide open as he saw strange movement within the enemy ranks, the Rosen soldier was seem to began moving aside to make way for something.
Soon, what they were making ways for coming into their views, it was many large wooden contraptions on wheels and pulled by oxen. (insert a trebuchet here)
The Rosen soldiers then quickly carried large stones over to the wooden contraptions.
*Clank! Immediately after they brought the stone over a loud sound ranged out as the wooden contraptions moved, sending large rocks hurtling toward their army.
"SHIT!!!! EVERYONE MOVE!!!" the old captain roared as he saw the rocks coming straight for them.
*Booom! *boom *boom! The boulder crashed into their ranks and ended up killing many of their knights and sending everything into chaos.
"Quickly! Someone! Report this to the commander!" the old captain shouted out an order.
"Cavalry!! Get back into formation and charge! Infantry follow behind the cavalry! Archer go flank them!" he then added.
Back inside the large tent.
*Bang Vandal upon hearing the field report slammed the wooden table with his fist.
"What?! Those bastards used some wooden contraption to send rocks hurlings toward our army and killed many knights?! BULLSHIT!!!!" Vandal shouted.
"How did the field captain dealt with the situation?" Vandal quickly calmed himself down and asked the knight.
"Currently the captain is reorganizing the formations and leading the charge to attack the enemy and prioritizing destroying those weapons my lord!" the knight reported.
"Good, go back to the field." Vandal ordered the man, the knight saluted and quickly headed back to the battlefield.
"...what kind of bullshit is this….first a major invasion, now giant rock hurtling death contraption...what's next? The dead coming back to life and kill everyone?" vandal lamented.
Out in the field.
The old captain that was in charge of the Evergreen kingdom was currently fighting tooth and nail in the middle of the enemy army alongside his troop, the knight cavalry has rushed out in order to prepared another charge, leaving the man with only his infantries of 5000 against the enemy numbering over twice their size.
*clank the old man slashed an enemy soldier and killed him.
"good sword!" the captain thought, this was the weapon that was issued out to him a while back by the duke, apparently these weapons are quite valuable, the man who handed him the sword said that it was an enchanted weapon- however his thought was broken.
"Shit! Shit! Shit! What took the cavalry so long?!" the old man curses.
"Sir, we are outnumbered and the knight cavalry seem to be occupied by a group of infantry and they cannot make it back in time! We must send out a retreat signal or we will all die here!" the young knight that was with him rushed over and suggested.
The old man gritted his teeth.
"Sound-" he was about to tell the knight to send out the retreat signal but something stopped him from his action, he suddenly saw among the midst of the fight that some of the Rosen knights are attacking one another, however none of the enemies seen to notice it since it was quite a chaotic fight.
"What is going on?" he whispered,
When we weren't paying attention one of the Rosen knight charge at him and attempt to decapitate the old captain.
"Shit!" the captain attempt to dodge however he slipped.
*Slash however before the enemy knight could finish that attack another Rosen knight from behind the man ran a spear through him.
The enemy knight walked toward the old man who was on the ground and extended his hand to help him get up.
"Come on, take my hand." the Rosen knight sounded quite young, the old captain thought.
"Who are you?" the captain asked.
"Me?" Leonard pulled off the mask of the helmet revealing his face.
"I'm your reinforcement of course," he replied.
surprise! cliffhanger!
