Sophie and Bylai were stuck on a tiny island floating on top of a sea of magma. They were slightly protected by crimson stalactites, allowing them to conserve a bit of their energy that was constantly depleting as they were using it to protect themselves from the searing heat.

Yet, they couldn't find anything, only creasing their brows as the distorted air made it difficult for them to see. They couldn't even extend their senses out as they became extinguished from the heat in a few seconds. In fact, they couldn't even maintain their soul sense for a second as the scorching air scrambled the view.

With no favorable outcome, tension rose in the atmosphere.
