章節 121: New Way Of Life?

We all agreed to go back to the Fae world but I couldn't help but think about my family and friends.. They all thought I was dead. I had been gone for two years this time.. would it be cruel to go back to them or would it be cruel to let them continue thinking I was dead?

I had no guarantee that I wouldn't kill over next week.. I didn't want to keep putting them through this.. I stand back in the garden filled with fairies as Fig chases them around in circles. I watch as the two suns begin to descend and think of my new life.

If I do survive all this.. I will probably have a long life.. a very long life. How would I even explain that to them? How could I explain not growing old.. watching them die.. My eyes begin to burn at the thought and I quickly shake my head. As if I could shake all the bad thoughts away..

Warm, strong arms wrap around me from behind and he says "What's on your mind love?" I lean into Rune and close my eyes. Where would I even start with this? "My parents.. My friends.. everyone thinks I'm dead and I'm thinking it may be for the best that they continue to think that way."

I feel him rest his chin on the top of my head as hot tears run down my cheeks. "I will do whatever you want to do love.. but this.. this won't be easy but know that I'm right here." I smile through my tears and know he means every word of it. As I open my eyes I'm met with a golden sunset that reminds me of the man holding me. How did I get so lucky?

Thinking back to the day we met I couldn't help but laugh.. I was a huge mess. Fig trips and rolls to a stop rubbing his little nose. A fairy swoops down and pats his little head before pulling on his tail. This is what it looks like.. happiness.. and I want to do everything I can to protect it.

I will find out what this new half of me needs and what it means for me from now on. What it means for US now.. I turn around in his arms and I'm greeted by his deep golden eyes. "I don't know what this all means.. where this will go.. how far this will go.." I say unsure.

He leans in close putting his forehead against mine and says "Whatever this means.. wherever this goes.. No matter how far.. I will be there every step of the way." Rune says and I suddenly hear "Me too, ME TOO!! You will always have me as well Syn.. no matter what."

I laugh and watch as Fig climbs up to Rune's shoulder. I arch an eyebrow in question but they both give each other a look before nodding in silent agreement. I let them have there moment before I start walking backwards towards the castle and say "Well I'm glad you two are all buddy, buddy but we should really get ready."

Fig frowns and says "Get ready for what?" I give Rune a dark grin and feel my eye flash. His golden eyes flash as well with dark promises and I say "Get ready to greet our new roommate. Leon should be hear any moment... I can feel him growing closer." Fig freezes but his little mouth hangs open a bit.

"Then we shouldn't keep the Vampire waiting now should we? I plan on making his stay here VERY comfortable.. it's the least I can do.." Rune says with a dark look and I can't help but giggle. Guys have a strange way of becoming friends..
