章節 44: ( THE LAND OF WAVES PART-15 )
just as the fight inside the distribution centre began, sakura asks all the civilian to leave the place as fast as possible. she tells them that gatou's men have attacked the distribution centre, hearing her, fearful looks appear on peoples faces and they left the place in a hurry. after they left just as sakura was about to return and help naruto and sasuke, she saw zouri and waraji running out of the distribution centre like their life depends on it.
they did not put much attention to sakura because they knew that she was the weakest member of team 7. so they ignored her and move toward their hideout with full speed, seeing their expression sakura could guess that they were scared. seeing their escape sakura was just about to inform naruto and sasuke but then she thought, if she were to inform them now they will loose zouri and waraji's track.
after thinking for a moment a determined look appeared on her face and she followed them.

in a forest near the village.
waraji turned back and see that sakura was following them, seeing this a frown appear on his face and just as he was about to tell zouri he heard a sound from behind he look and saw a kunai coming toward him, seeing this he hurriedly ducked down. after dodging the attack he stopped and look at sakura with anger in his eyes and his expression became vicious, seeing the situation he said to zouri.
waraji: zouri you go and inform the boss, I will take care of this bitch and will come later.
looking back zouri saw sakura with a kunai in one hand and after seeing waraji's expression a smile appear on is his face, he knew exactly what waraji was thinking, he nodded and left.
after zouri left waraji look toward sakura and said.
waraji: he he he little bitch today I will devour you.
hearing him a frown appear on Sakura's face and she took her fighting stance, seeing this waraji took out his sword, he dash toward sakura and attack her, seeing the incoming attack sakura raised her hand and block waraji's sword with her kunai but due to the large force behind the attack she was pushed back.
she hurriedly infused her chakra in her feet and balance herself, she raised her head only to see a sword right above her head, seeing this a grave expression appear on her face and she made hand signs.
'SUBSTITUTION JUTSU'
waraji slashed sakura with his blade, for a moment he could see her shoulder being torn by his sword but just next moment a white smoke surround her and she turned into a block of wood. seeing this an angry expression appear on his face and he looked around.
around twenty meters away from waraji, sakura was sweating all over, she did not though waraji's strength would be this strong. she knew that it will not be easy to kill waraji. so she decided to move away from him, just as she took a step back.
'CRACK'
she stepped on a brach and cracking sound echoed in the surrounding, hearing this her expression became pale and she ducked down and just as she did, waraji's sword passed above her head cutting some of her hairs. after dodging she ran forward and turned to face waraji. by now she knew that she has no other choice but to fight.
sakura took a deep breath and a look of determination appear on her face, she took out some shuriken and infused her chakra in them, after infusing her chakra in her shurikens she threw them with all her might toward waraji, seeing the incoming attack waraji raised his hand and swung his sword toward the incoming shurikens in order to deflect them, but the thing waraji expected did not happen and as soon as the blade came in contact with chakra infused shuriken.
'SSssHHhhIIii'
the chakra infused shurikens cut sword in many pieces like it was butter, the shurikens did not stop after cutting the sword and pierced waraji's shoulder.
waraji: AAhhh!!!!
waraji look toward sakura with hate and anger in his eyes and said.
waraji: just you wait bitch, I will make sure you suffer like hell.
on the other side hearing waraji, a smile appears on Sakura's face but from inside she was still surprised after seeing the lethality of a chakra infused weapons, she again infused her chakra in some shurikens and throw them toward waraji, this time waraji did not dare to block them head on and dodge, after dodging the attack he look toward sakura only to see that she has disappeared.
then suddenly he felt a presence behind him, feeling this a fearful look appear on his face and he hurriedly dodges forward and as he did five chakra infused shuriken passed from where his head was. after dodging he turned around and see that sakura was running toward him with a chakra infused kunai. seeing the glow on kunai waraji knew that common weapons will not be able to block it, realizing this he took out a dagger, the dagger had a common appearance except its colour, it had a red tint on its surface, after taking out the dagger he raised his hand and block sakura's kunai.
'CLANG'
both the weapons collided with each other and this time the dagger did not break like before, seeing this a pale look appear on Sakura's face, seeing her expression a smile appear on waraji's face and he put a little more force in his hand and pushed sakura back, by now sakura knew that the weapons will not work.
waraji dash toward sakura and swung his dagger toward her neck, the dagger sliced her neck seeing this a ruthless smile appear on his face but the smile froze the next moment as sakura turned into a block of wood, seeing this waraji look behind only to see sakura running toward him with a kunai in her hand, but this time the kunai was not glowing like before, seeing this waraji relaxed a bit.
seems like she is low on chakra. (waraji's thoughts)
waraji attack sakura with his red dagger, seeing this sakura counter with his kunai, both the attack met and sakura's kunai was sliced by waraji's dagger like it was butter seeing this an excited look appear on his face and pushed his dagger toward sakura chest, the dagger pierced sakura heart, seeing this waraji finally relaxed his senses and just as he was about to take his dagger out of sakura's chest.
'POOF'
sakura disappeared into white smoke, seeing this waraji's eyes widened and just as he was about to react a figure appear behind him and pierced his skull from behind. he was shocked, the light in his eyes slowly fade away and his body falls down.
seeing that waraji was not reacting sakura released a sigh, she was really tired after the battle, she drags her tired body and sat beside a tree after taking some deep breath, she took out a flare from her clothing, she lit it, after a moment a red light was shot in the sky illuminating the sky red.
sakura: hope that they will come soon.
after doing all this she looks toward waraji's dead body and a smile appear on her face, even though it was her first time killing a human she was not feeling anything except calmness in her heart, even she was surprised by her calm reaction. she remembered the time when naruto was telling her and sasuke about the cruelness of this world and it was probably at that time that she had a change of heart. as she was thinking she heard a sound.
'SWISHHHHH'
hearing this a pale expression appear on her face and she instinctively tilted her upper body sideways and just as she did a chakra infused shuriken passed by her side and strike the tree behind her, as the shuriken strike the tree.
'BOOM'
the upper layer of the tree trunk was blasted off into smithereens leaving behind a big hole in the tree. seeing this a serious expression appear on her face and she look toward the direction from where the shuriken came from.

two people were looking at sakura with varied expression on their faces, one had a hateful look in his eyes and other was looking at her with a surprised look on his face. they were zouri and Takafumi.
Takafumi is a man with well-built muscles and short spiky brown colour hairs, he wears a loose brown colour lower and his upper body was bare, his eyes were sharp with a tinge of savageness in them, he looks at sakura with a smile on his face and said.
Takafumi: interesting a mere genin was able to kill a low-level chunin-rank fighter.
hearing Takafumi sakura became tensed she still remember the power in that chakra infused shuriken and knew it was this man who threw it, she knew that the newcomer is far stronger than her and she can not fight him in her current state, so she decided to run, but just as she was about to move, Takafumi looked toward zouri with a cold expression on his face and said.
Takafumi: zouri go kill that bitch.
hearing him zouri smiled and a vicious look appear on his face, he took out his sword and infused his chakra in it, after infusion his sword starts to shine with a dim light, after doing this zouri stomp and shot himself toward sakura, ready to kill.
within a moment he reached beside sakura and swung his sword toward her head with all his strength, seeing the incoming sword a helpless look appear in her eyes, she knew that it was her end, just as she was about to close her eyes.
'SWWWWIISHHH'
she heard a sound and saw a red-hot chakra infused kunai passed from her side and shot toward zouri's heart, seeing the kunai an ugly expression appear on zouri's face and he hurriedly changed the direction of his attack in order to counter the kunai.
'BOOOMM'
both the weapons collided with each other and a loud explosion occurred, due to the impact both sakura and zouri were blasted back, zouri hurriedly spin his body in mid-air and landed on his feet, and just as he landed a frown appear on his face as he could feel that his hand has gone a little numb.
just as sakura's flying figure was about to hit a tree a figure appears beside her and hold her from her waist, realizing that someone has saved her, she raised her head only sasuke who was looking at zouri with blood red eyes, seeing sasuke a warm feeling appear in her heart and she tightly hugged him.
feeling a sharp glare on himself zouri raised his head and saw sasuke, who was looking at him with intense killing intent emitting from his body, feeling the killing intent zouri's back went cold.
