outside tazuna's house, the trio was walking side by side, each of them had a different expression on their faces naruto was calm and was in deep thoughts, sasuke had a serious expression on his face and there was a restless feeling in his heart, and sakura was tensed and her head was down.
naruto was considering wether he should tell them the truth, he knew that the following conversation will decide the future of the shinobi world. naruto knew he cannot lie this time because if he do, there will be many future complications, so could only tell truth, after considering it for a long time naruto decided to tell them the truth but he still decided to omit some important information.
sasuke had a serious expression on his face, he could not accept the fact that naruto is stronger than him but in the last battle naruto showed his true power for the first time and to be honest he was really shocked after seeing it. it was at that time that he realized that naruto is hiding many secrets. unknown to sasuke a feeling of hunger for power took birth in Sasuke's heart, being an Uchiha he always considered himself above others and he could not stand the fact that his teammate is stronger than him.
sakura was tensed and feeling down because she was the weakest one in the team and was not able to do anything so far in this mission. she knew that naruto and sasuke have worked really hard in order to gain their current strength but she still want to catch up to them and fight with them as equals.
after walking for a while naruto stopped and said.
naruto: so you guys must be wondering, why I suddenly changed this much and became this powerful.
hearing naruto, sasuke and sakura were pulled out from their thoughts and nodded. they were really curious about the changes in naruto's nature and strength.
naruto: fine then I will tell .... around a year ago I was training on a hill near the village and after training I decided to take a rest at the top of the mountain, it was at that time that the sky suddenly turned dark and up in the sky the clouds start to circle around the hill and I knew that something was wrong and before I could leave that place I was struck by a lightning bolt.
hearing this both of them were shocked. even though they have heard rumours that naruto was struck by lightning, at that time they did not believe them, but now naruto was confirming to it. realizing the truth they were really shocked.
sakura: what! struck by a lightning bolt, did you not die at that time.
hearing sakura naruto's face twitched and said.
naruto: no sakura, I somehow miraculously survived that incident and.....
just as naruto was about to continue sasuke interrupted him.
sasuke: but what does you being struck by a lightning has anything to do with your increase in strength.
naruto: I was getting to that point after I was struck by lightning, I was unconscious for around 20 hours. when I was unconscious something inside of me changed.
sakura: Oh! what was it?
naruto: I do not know what it was, but after that thing changed, my mind became completely clear and I was able to analyze things more clearly. after my mind became clear I realized how immature and weak I was, I was really frustrated at that time. so in order to broaden my horizon, I decided to study this world's history and in order to do that, I started going to konoha's library. over the period of one year I read many books, after reading them I realized something.
after saying this much naruto stopped for a while so that they can digest the what he just said
sasuke: so what did you realize.
naruto: after studying all those books I realized that this world is governed by power. with the power you are free to do anything ... you can decide the life and death of the person who is weaker than you ... if you have power no one will mess with you ... if you have power the peoples who are scared of death will bow their heads in front of you etc.
naruto: after realizing this I was really frustrated because power was the thing I was lacking. so in order to not be helpless in the dangerous situations, I decided to train like a madman. I found some jutsu's scroll in library and started training according to them and as far as wind transformation is concerned, it was the third hokage who helped me after checking my chakra nature.
after hearing naruto a contemplative look appear on Sasuke's and Sakura's face, they have never look at this world in such a way, according to them, they were safe in hidden leaf village and had nothing to worry about but after hearing naruto they realized what sort of world they are living in. after thinking for a while a light flashed in their eyes and a determined look appears on their faces. seeing this a smile appear on Naruto's face, he knew that they have accepted the reality and have become more mature.
at first sakura was a shocked by Naruto's words but after thinking deeply, she realized that naruto was right, now she knew that the reason she is weak is because her will is not strong enough. thinking this far sakura finally let go of her tension and determined herself
sakura: you are right naruto, in this world, there is no free lunch, you will have to work hard if you want to live a peaceful life. I know that I am the weakest one in our team but I promise that from now on, I will work hard in order to catch up with you guys.
hearing sakura a smile appears on Naruto's face and he knew that he was able to change sakura's heart.
sasuke: so it was like this.
just as sasuke was about let go of this matter a thought suddenly struck his mind and he ask.
sasuke: naruto I understood the reason for your power but what about the fuinjutsu.
hearing sasuke a sad expression appear on Naruto's face. if he answers it then he will have to tell them about Uzumaki clan, even though it is not a secret it still pains him remembering about the downfall of his clan
naruto: do you really want to know?
hearing naruto's sad tone, sasuke was a little shocked because he has never seen naruto this down. he realized that this matter is very important to naruto but he still wanted to clear his doubts once and for all.
sasuke: naruto, I know that, with this question I am crossing my boundaries but I still want to know.
hearing sasuke naruto sighed and said.
naruto: fine, do you guys know my last name.
sakura: it is Uzumaki.
naruto: yes, the things I am about to talk is related to the Uzumaki clan ..... Uzumaki clan was one the most powerful clan in past, at some point it was even comparable to Senju and Uchiha clan. the main expertise of the members of the Uzumaki clan was fuinjutsu (sealing arts).
sasuke: what! there was a clan like that but why have I never heard of it before.
naruto: because they were killed by other villages. uzumaki clan had its own village in the land of whirlpool, which is an island near the coast of the land of fire. at that time because of their prominent sealing arts. my clan was seen as a threat by the Land of sand, cloud, stone and mist. so in order to eliminate this threat, they formed an combined army and attack uzushiogakure (name of the Uzumaki village). in that attack almost my entire clan was massacred and being one of the last surviving members, you can guess why I am good in sealing arts.
hearing this sasuke and sakura were really shocked, they have never thought that naruto has such a history. sasuke could relate to Naruto's story, since his clan was also massacred by his own elder brother, at that time he was depressed and had no choice but to indulge himself in inhuman training in order to get strong so that he can kill Itachi (Sasuke's brother) when he meets him again.
looking at naruto's expression, for the first time, a feeling of closeness took birth in Sasuke's heart. at this moment all the negative feeling which he had for naruto disappeared into smoke and he decided to open his heart as well.
sasuke: naruto, I am sorry that I asked you about your painful memory. since you have already put your heart in front of us I will also tell you about my secret.
hearing this naruto and sakura were a little shocked and soon enough a slight smile appear on Naruto's face. at this point, he knew that the story will not go in its predetermined direction because sasuke in one way or other opening his heart to them.
sasuke took a deep breath and a serious expression on his face and said.
sasuke: well, you guys must be wondering why I am cold to others, it is because the feeling of companionship and friends distract me from my goal, in the past when I was a kid and was returning home from my mountain training, I saw bodies of my clan's members inside the front gate, I was really scared at that time so ran toward my mother and father's room in order to inform them about the slaughter. but when I entered the room I saw my elder brother Itachi slitting my mother's throat with a sword, at that time he had no emotions on his face, he looked at me those cold eyes, I was really scared. I wanted to ask him why did he do it, but he said nothing and before leaving he just leaves behind a sentence... 'SASUKE YOU ARE TOO WEAK AND IS UNWORTHY, WHEN YOU HAVE ENOUGH STRENGTH COME FIND ME AND WHEN YOU DO KILL ME'.....
just as sasuke said his last sentence an intense killing intent broke out from his body.
sakura was really shocked after hearing this and seeing Sasuke's condition tears start to fallout from her eyes and in panic, she hugged him. seeing this scene naruto released a deep sigh. he knew that this conversation will release the barrier they had between them but he also knew that in order to face future dangers sakura and sasuke will need to become more powerful. thinking this far naruto sighed and took out four scrolls from his clothing and said.
naruto: sakura, sasuke I know that each one of us has our own problems but in order to solve them we will need more power.
by this time sasuke has already calmed down.
hearing naruto sasuke and sakura nodded.
naruto: here take these scrolls they contain the jutsus and seals which will make you far stronger than other.
