章節 59: Fighting Once More
Arriving at the wall James saw that the soldiers were already in the progress of fighting off the demonic beasts. Upon he looked at the others that arrived with him. They all understood that they had to rush in and attack the demonic beasts as soon as possible. Sir Edward decided to go to the place where the prince was located. Arriving at the battle, James noticed that the number of demonic beasts was even larger compared to the first grand battle he participated in. With that in mind, James rushed into the fray. Looking at his side, he saw that Francis, Christopher and Warren had also joined him in the charge they had.
This was the best opportunity for James to score big. Especially when the demonic beasts decide to attack, if he is able to kill one of them at least, he would definitely be compensated heavily for it. Moreover, with such a fresh achievement, his name would be widespread. With that in mind, James could not think about anything else as he moved closer to the demonic beasts.
His only problem was that even though his shoulder did not hurt anymore, it still was not fully recovered. So James had to play it safe when fighting the demonic beasts.
Arriving at his first target, he saw that the demonic beast was busy attacking another soldier. From the looks of the uniform of the soldiers, it was clear that he belonged to the church's Judgment Army. From the way he was fighting the demonic beasts, it looked that he was a new recruit. Deciding to help the soldier out, James lunged his sword at the back of the demonic beasts. Just before the sword hit the demonic beasts, the demonic beasts noticed the sword and tried to fly up. However it was already too late, as the sword struck the demonic beast. With that the demonic beast had difficulty flying up and fell back down to the ground.
Looking at the soldiers, James offered him a hand to stand back up and said, "Be more careful next time. There might be no help next time around." With those words said, James looked for his next target.
