The crowd went to an uproar as everybody looked at them with great excitement. That is when realisation of the situation dawned on them. A fashion show was taking place on the stage in which random pairs were being selected to perform. And now, they were the ones who were selected to perform.
Soon Lili's faced got laced with panic and dread for she never intended to go onto the stage. Especially performing together with Aaron was even more embarrassing. She was just planning to find excuses when she felt a hand extend towards her. When she followed the length of the arm with her eyes and looked upwards, she met the pair of soulful eyes which she had caught gazing at her just like this for quite a number of times that evening.
"I..I can't..Please.." Lili whispered uncomfortably to Aaron. But before she could finish her sentence, she heard the magnetic voice of Aaron which weirdly helped her to calm every time.
"You'll be fine.
We'll be fine.
Come, let's go..."
Aaron smiled tenderly as he looked at Lili with his hand extended, silently waiting for her affirmation.
Lili was lost in his eyes and unknowingly reached out to hold his hand.
As she placed her cold palm on Aaron's large warm hand, she instantly felt her hand warming up. She wasn't feeling the worry of going on the stage or being under the spotlight anymore. She just let go of herself as she held onto Aaron's palm, leaving every other responsibility to Aaron.
Both of them walked towards the stage, as once again Lili felt an immense familiarity with the whole situation. She took a side- glance at Aaron, who didn't seem to be aware of her peeping, while he walked confidently with a strange regal aura. That posture was weirdly easy for Lili to imitate as if she has been trained to have it, for ages.
"Don't look at me. Focus on the crowd. Or else it would leave a bad influence."
Lili blushed immediately as she confidently looked towards the audience while standing at the beginning of the stage.
Lili herself was stunned with the amount of ease she showed while facing the crowd this time. She easily hooked her arm with Aaron, as they walked till the front of the ramp, while sometimes looking at each other and the other times scanning the crowd casually yet in a charismatic way. They were in perfect sync as they complimented each other. Both of them had this confident and warm air around them which compelled others to look at them with awe, as the duo walked in their simple yet beautiful white attires, as if they had come particularly prepared for this event.
There was a part of briefly conversing with the crowd when the pair would reach the beginning of the ramp. But as neither Lili nor Aaron had followed the show before getting onto the stage, neither of them knew about it. They simply stood their, their arms hooked, looking at each other. But Aaron suddenly looked at the crowd, as if to address it.
"Hello everyone. We wish that we would be able to happily work together, help each other at the times of distress and celebrate with each other at the times of our victories. Let's hope for a better today, and the best tomorrow."
The crowd went frenzy to hear Aaron's words. They had never expected someone to come up with such a beautiful and harmonious speech after such a beautiful walk.
"Thank you. Let's work for a happy and safe future. Lo.." ..ng live Wellden. Long live Bridgecoast.
Lili spoke up just a few seconds after Aaron finished, she herself bewildered by her own voluntarism. But what astonished her more, was she was about to add a few more lines, the lines which did not seem to have the least connection with her.
Again the crowd started screaming madly. But this time the scream didn't seem to come from excitement but from the panic of impending danger.
