章節 21: The Freshers' Welcome Party (11)
The following morning, every single student was seen to be simply putting up with the monotonous lectures. Practically no one was interested in classes and notes. They were just waiting eagerly for the night to fall.
Soon the wait was over and the most awaited programme for the first years was here.

Lili quickly got ready, this time really fast as she was super excited. She quickly wore her dress and accessories. She chose to take a small white purse which went perfectly with her dress. She quickly called her mother up and told she would be busy for the evening and would call up at night. Then she called Genea and Aaron up to inform them that she was ready to go downstairs. They too told her that they were ready so all of them met each other downstairs and went off for the party.

The party did not fail to meet the high expectations of the students. The playground had completely lost the monotonous look it usually had. Glistening lights, loud music colourful stalls and lots and lots of people adorned it, making it look no less than a crowded market during a grand festival. The students were happily busying themselves in buying various commodities and engaging themselves in various games. There were stalls for food, jewellery, books, bags, paintings and various other hand made articles. The best part of most items was, they were handcrafted by the students who wanted to start their own handicrafts business or were simply interested in creating new designs and art. The college spends quite an amount for the promotion of these goods by distributing pamphlets and putting hoardings on the roads. For security reasons, on the day of the party, no guardians or outsiders are allowed to enter the school premises but once it is over, from the next day onwards for the next seven days, everyone is allowed to visit these stalls and buy out their choices. The stalls having games had games like balloon- shooting game, throw- the- ring- on- the- pole game, fishing and more.
On the stage, the hosts were still preparing, revising their scripts. Some of the lights were still being fitted facing the stage and some of the speakers were being connected and positioned.
Lili, Aaron and Genea walked through the crowd, sometimes halting in front of jewellery stalls and eateries. Sometimes Lili and Genea would ask for Aaron's opinion on the jewellery of their choice. On getting his affirmation they would happily buy it. Yes, Genea had come to know that the dress Lili wore that day was Aaron's choice and so she was thoroughly impressed by Aaron's decision. She didn't miss to tease Lili either at the times when Aaron wasn't paying attention. Though Lili was really embarassed and every now and then she said Genea to "shut up", she seemed to be enjoying the teasing too.
Suddenly Lili and Genea marked that Aaron wasn't following them and had stopped in front of a stall for some time then. They called out for him but unfortunately it was too loud there and they themselves weren't being able to listen their voices property. So they turned back and towards him and then called him again. But Aaron seemed to be lost in his own world. On reaching nearer, they found Aaron looking straight towards a painting with such attention that he couldn't even notice Lili and Genea next to him.
Lili was naturally intrigued about the painting which had caught Aaron's attention. So she turned towards the painting to have a look at it. It was a tree which had a large canopy and a very thick trunk.
