The group began to make their moves under the command of the captain.

Zhang Lisheng, Cui Xiaodong, Jin Fusheng, and a few others walked at the frontmost. Captain Hu did not view this teenager who was the first to notice the abnormal situation in a more favorable light. It was apparent that she felt that he was smart but extremely selfish, so she might as well use him as an ordinary small pawn. 

The darkness was profound. Constantly moving forward in the deserted wilderness gave them a feeling of it being boundless and never-ending fear.

Nobody knew how long they walked, but just when most of them started to feel their legs going sore, a faint wind filled with stench breezed towards them.

"Watch out, a beast may attack!" Upon smelling this unusual smell, Captain Hu vigilantly warned in a whisper. At the instant she warned, a few spotted coyotes tore the night and rushed to a short but very fat young girl by the edge of the team.
