章節 100: Cupid's works

Xander and Liana were sitting in the hospital cafeteria having a meal together. 

"How are you? I haven't seen you for a while," said Xander. 

"I was working the day shift," replied Liana. 

"Oh, I see. I heard that the bastard is no longer working in the Black River Prison," said Xander. Pouting his mouth a little, and peeking at Liana, "I guess I won't be seeing you at night anymore," added Xander. 

Liana's face heated up at hearing what Xander said. Xander's words sound a little wrong in her ears. 'Damn it! What am I even thinking? You know that's not what he meant!'

Knowing that she might look like a tomato, Liana cupped her cheek, hoping that it would ease the redness. 

Xander reached out to hold Liana's hands, "Leave it, you looked adorable," said Xander, coming close to Liana, Xander whispered, "Why did your face turn so red, what are you thinking of?" His tone was low and laced with a hidden meaning.
