The blood mist appeared outside of Eli's body as it condensed and sharpener, revealing a bright red spike.
the red spike was faster than anything Eli could have seen. his body was moving on its own accord, not to his wishes.
the spike followed the shadow before Duskull appeared out of the shadows
the boy expected the large spike to go through the Duskull, but it quickly pierced its ethereal body
the boy watched as the Duskull tried to wiggle out of the tentacles reach, but quickly felt an absorbing force.
"Stop it!" Eli screamed, but the tentacle didn't pay any heed as it completely absorbed and digested the poor Duskull.
screams of agony were it's last.
"What a waste of a good pokemon." The boy muttered before his body was thrown in tremendous pain
"W-what i-s going o-on!" Eli screamed as the pain continued to go on and on.
it felt like his body was not only being bit by thousands of ants but has been thrown into the icest and coldest bath ever.
screams filled the beautiful scenic sunrise as the pain slowly started to subside, causing countless beads of sweat to fall down his head and go into the hard earth next to him.
"W-what was that?" The boy muttered
creating some blood mist, the boy noticed something strange.
he could make 2 versions of the same mist, one a ghastly purple and one a crimson red (The usual.)
the boy examined the purple mist, shrouding his body in it.
one thing was for certain. the purple mist took at least 3x the energy as the blood mist, meaning he couldn't waver it around stupidly.
the boy shrouded his arm in the mist, before punching a tree.
the boy frowned when he saw his arm go through it, but directly contacted it when his fist wasn't shrouded in the mist.
while resting on the tree, Eli had some unexpected visitors
"Master, why are we going so deep in enemy territory?" A boy hissed to a handsome boy in front, who simply scoffed
"James hadn't given his report today, especially after waiting for an hour. we need to see if he had successfully infiltrated that clan or see if his head is on the pike." The leader said arrogantly, a pokemon at his side.
the pokemon was strong. stronger than the boy had ever seen before.
the pokemon was a quadrupedal, canine Pokémon with short, black fur and a red underbelly and muzzle. Its ears and tail are both short and pointed. Two fangs protrude from its upper jaw, and its triangular nose is black. There are white bands on its ankles and rib-like ridges on its back. The pokemon appeared to have a simplistic, stylized skull on its forehead with the eye orbits creating eyebrow patterning above its actual eyes. It also has circular, red paw pads on each of its three-toed paws.
it was a houndour.
Eli gulped.
he couldn't beat that!
His Kakuna and Bronzor were no more than level 7, while the boy estimated that this pokemon was at least level 11.
in every 10 levels, a power boost called a "Breakthrough" Is made. the gap between level 9 and level 10 couldn't be estimated.
pokemon with lower potentials seemed to have a harder time going through the "Breakthroughs" and "The limit" Of where a pokemon evolves.
the limit is a concept proposed by Professor Rowan. when a pokemon has reached the peak of its strength, it shall evolve into its further evolution state.
trainers sometimes give the pokemon items such as Everstone because if a pokemon delays the time for the "limit" it means that the pokemon has a higher chance of getting a stronger evolution and potentially a boost in potential, which is heavily sought out by all trainers , no matter what.
the boy gulped, and the Bronzor that was behind him was shivering from the natural suppression.
the boy stood quiet like a tree as he listened to their conversation
"Clan leader, why don't we just go and destroy them as we did with that other clan?" One of the members said to the leader
The leader, hatred present in his eyes scoffed
"You will soon know."
Each of the 8 people there had normal pokemon with each with high level, causing the boy to frown.
they were the elite force of the island.
how did they manage to get their pokemon to such a high level with only 2 weeks or so of being on the island?
"We will take a break here." The leader said "You, you, you and you will be responsible for guarding, while Elisa will be responsible for cooking. vice leader Isaac will be responsible for giving orders."
the men all seemed loyal as Eli examined them with admiration in his eyes.
Houndour sniffed the air, before looking at Eli, who was hidden the tree's leafes
"Shit."
"Mhm?" the leader's eyes scanned the tree's
"Hmm... it seems like a rat has noticed our position." The leader muttered to Isaac, who nodded "Master Yuno, shall we commence our attack? it may seem like a problem if we are pincered by their group even if they're weak."
"We will stay here, make sure everyone's in peak condition." Yuno muttered, "Tonight, we strike at midnight."
Eli heard their conversation while running away and decided not to report the information to the twins. he could profit the most if they all died tonight.
it would be even better if that leader was to die and the Eli could take the houndour for himself.
and so, the boy didn't go back to the camp.
in reality, he didn't care about a single one of them.
why does anyone deserve the right to be liked by him?
after all, they were weak.
and Eli didn't like being weak,
