I had to distance myself from Dawn for just a little bit, I'll act awkwardly if I continue to be conscious of him

Why am I conscious of him? I don't know, I want to know the answer of that question, this feeling doesn't sit right with me

After changing I hurriedly went downstairs only to hear the booming laugh of Dawn

What could be so funny for him to laugh like this?

I slowly entered the living room and looked at Dawn, he's sitting on the couch with his back facing me

I tiptoe towards the couch and peek at what he's doing, what I saw immediately drained the blood on my face

"Hey!" I shouted and it made Dawn jump slightly on the couch, seeing me made him hide the photo album burying it on his chest as if I couldn't see that it exists "what are you doing?"

"ahh-- well, uhhm-" stuttering looking from side to side "hehe I saw this over there and I was curious, I mean I'm sorry" rubbing the back of his neck, acting as if he was caught stealing chocolates

How am I supposed to react when this is my first time observing Dawn being somewhat timid, he always acts confident and vibrant though sometimes he's nervous

"why are you looking at that? That's too boring" I walk around the couch and sat not too far from him

"what?! That's not true don't say that" he said while looking at my childhood photo with a twinkle in his eyes

Every time he flips through the album I tell him the stories behind every photo in which he listened carefully

Dawn's cellphone started ringing

"I'm sorry it's mom, I have to answer it" he said after he picks it up and saw who the caller is

I told him to take his time since it's his mom calling, when he left I scanned the album myself and it felt nostalgic

I have a lot of photos but almost all in it I was alone, I know my past nanny took all of them she was the one who explained to me the stories behind every photograph but then she needed to retire and Mary was hired 5 years ago to replace her

"Uhm Earl, we actually forgot about the time and it's almost 9pm" Dawn started saying when he ended the call

"huh?" I didn't understand what he meant about it
