[Life felt empty after that. Even the village seemed drastically different from before. Not that it mattered. They didn't even go to the funeral. They were afraid of catching the 'curse' or whatever.

I buried my family, all of them, but the pain refused to go away. Sometimes I would see a Linger flying past the cemetery during nighttime, but I didn't know whose soul it was. Maybe it was my mother. Or my lover. Or even my father or brother. I didn't know, but the sight eased my heart from time to time.

At that time, I was all alone. No one came to comfort me, not even the village women who used to gossip with my mother all the time. They were all afraid. Of me, I guess. Because it would make no sense for them to be afraid of the dead.
