The entire first chapter seems to have nothing to do with anything in the plot, there's awkwardly excessive sexual/gory/"shocking" things to the point where it's just disruptive and confusing, I can't tell what fucking timeline we're supposed to be in, and if not for reading the book summary I'd honestly not know what was going on at all.
