That was far better than anything the tourney represented in both meaning and motivation. You just gave him something he won't win while holding back and with no real substance of suspense like the tourney.

I don't get it. What's the intention behind this chapter in the context of storytelling and character development? You said you're not aiming for the harem so it would be better to focus on the story and not the cringe worthy "romance" aspect of it.
