Hi, no, the story tries to follow canon. That being the series, both The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra as well as the comics. There's a lot of things that happened in between, things left unexplained. The idea with this is connecting these stories and expanding them, if it makes sense. Always thought there must have been a good reason why no one mentioned Azula in LOK, I aim to tell her story whilst being canon compliant.
Hi, first of all thank you for taking the time to read and review. To clarify I wanted to make the story follow all known canon, that includes the comics which many, including myself saw as lacking or didn't make complete sense in a way. The comics start one year after the end of the series, what you'll see in Book I mainly, are the events in between that year. Zuko's experience as Fire Lord, Azula's experience inside the asylum and Aang's experience dismantling Fire Nation colonies. The Azula parts are meant to be somewhat confusing mainly because her own POV is distorted and made unreliable by her own hallucinations. There are as you said details, though more abstract than anything in Azula's own mind. I'm curious as to which chapter are you at right now. There is action but I'll admit it's sparse compared to everything else, things will be more action packed during Book II where I wouldn't be as constrained by the canon material. Thanks again, I hope I was able to help.
Hope you like it, do let me know if you have any questions regarding the story.
