Is Daniel's age the same as any character from Modern Family? When will he interact with the cast? Having Mitchell as a lawyer was a great way to introduce the MC to the Modern Family plot.

I think you can skip straight to the plot, and if there is something important that happened during college it can be told in flashbacks when necessary

I think it would be better for him to go to Hermione's school than Harry's. There's a high chance of things going wrong when approaching Harry so soon, for sure Dumbledore would know if any pure-blood wizard approached Harry, even if Dumbledore isn't bad in this fic, even Cannon Dumbledore is too controlling to let a pure-blood to get closer to Harry, not to mention that if he didn't tell Harry about magic it would create a rift in their friendship when Harry went to Hogwarts. Better to just put this headache aside and go to Hermione's school.

I think he can look for a spell that helps him manage his magical training and reading better, something like a thought acceleration spell, so he can read faster, or a spell to absorb the knowledge from the book directly.
