As far as I am aware apparting doesn't require line of sight but imagination / mental image of where you want to go. However this argument is totally invalid if it is an AU.

For the CPR the 30 compressions, in terms of speed can be done to the beat of a couple songs such as Never gonna give you up Highway to Hell Happy and a couple others ( about 120 bpm). If it should come to the point where you need to do CPR please do not take the time to search for those songs.

I am currently in training to become an emergency paramedic in Germany. What we learned is that you in order do the following 1. check if the airways are free 2. check if the person is breathing (10 to 12 breaths per minute is what is considered the norm for a standard human) if not start chest compressions. Somebody who is not trained to check for pulse shouldn't do so and even trained personnel are to take no longer than 10 seconds for checking the pulse. I don't know the SOP (Standart operating procedure) in other countries so do not necessarily take my word for that.
