Urek-like route wouldn't be that difficult to pull off because FUG would simply struggle to force the MC to join them due to his connection to Yuri and because 2 Irregulars disappearing (especially when Isaac is so strong) would be way too suspicious, making them a target of the Jahad Empire's and Wolkhaisong's immediate investigation. In addition, Yu Han Sung/Hwa Ryun/Luslec's faction already has Bam as the chosen one that they would pour their all into (Thorns) and wouldn't want others in FUG to know about another Irregular. In this kind of situation, mutual cooperation while the OC is a hidden Irregular who seems would support Bam seems best, since otherwise the OC could totally ruin them while they can't eliminate him. So I look at it from this angle. Isaac could officially become a member of Wolkhaisong and secretly cooperate with FUG for benefits, even request a Ranker's soul from them or whatnot.
Maybe, maybe not. I am considering the development. Ultimately, Bam is useless in this story, but perhaps it would be good to still have him and show how useless he would be... I also think that it makes more sense for MC's soul devouring ability to be a default he can use from the start because his power is different from Bam's, so he doesn't need to discover it in the Rice Pot (my original plan). If that happened, the MC would be quite overpowered. If the MC is too overpowered, him being the only MC would make the events not very interesting. Instead, he could be a beast from Wolkhaisong, the strongest Regular and a free man, overturning the events at his leisure like Urek.
It happens the only way it could happen
Is it really? We know that Ro is a good guy, a lightning user and a Fisherman too.
Lero Ro smiled at him and said, "In that case, why not temporarily participate in the Light Bearer class that I'm in charge of?"

Reply to one of the comments that ended up being removed. I am also satisfied with the current story because it's simple and the OC simply replaces Bam in what's to come. But for the general population, I can imagine that they would want to see Bam around, regardless of how boring and unless he would be in a fanfic. The problem with this development is that it's confusing and difficult to say whom FUG would want to give the Thorn, the child of the prophecy that returned (Bam) or the Irregular with V. But I guess, after a Floor Guardian confirms it, someone like Luslec would want to trust his Lord V and might even think it's a part of V's plan. I could imagine there being some kind of test to decided which one of them is the child of the prophecy, but I have absolutely no idea what kind of test it could be... As for Rachel dying to trim the drama, I wouldn't want her to die any time early in the story. Even without Bam chasing after her, she's the driving force for most of the plot. At least, she'd have to steal Emily, gather Yura with Hockney's picture and a bunch of fodder for the MC to crush, and awaken Hoaqin/White on the Hell Train. With a soul eater ability, the MC would especially have a lot of interest in getting to know (eating) White.
///Commentary:I noticed that the popularity of the story dropped massively after Bam died, and I also feel that the story lost a bit of soul because of it. I don't regret it because what happened was too boring and dissapointing on that route as the OC carries Bam and has to deal with his boring drama, but perhaps things could be improved. It isn't impossible to instead have Isaac absorb V, and Bam recover soon after thanks to quickly regenerating (the explanation is that his death trigger a protective spell left behind by Arlene/Outside God, but before that, Isaac's grail/skill already got V).

I removed those paragraphs to not bait/confuse readers for the time being. Rudeus had no grasp on the scale of his mana reserves for most of the story and is quite stupid, just doing what others do, for once. If we want an explanation for what author did. Laura wouldn't have as large mana reserves as him, so it would always be useful to have a staff to save mana. Even for Rudeus, it wouldn't be completely useless
What's the problem with it? Bam did it too, and lost. He just has to win
Isaac was grateful for the advice, but still looked straight at Anak and said, "Sure. I'll take this bet."

This way, no rewrite. Just Bam revived off-screen. Similar result.
I believe that at that point the war would be so intense and the MC so strong that it wouldn't quite matter whose child the Irregular rising up is. And in a situation when Bam does not die during the Crown Game, the MC could still eventually 'usurp his fate' and end Jahad by simply being far stronger than him and then requesting the Thryssas and Thorns from him around the time the Hell Train arc ends (because Bam didn't want that fate in the first place and the MC is more capable and stronger even without those) or killing Bam to get the Thorns and Thryssas and get rid of a potential threat.
