I feel like the author wouldn’t hinder the mc this much unless he’s actually missing something. I think Bjorn hinted at it in an earlier chapter with sacraficing opposing believers for strength. I bet those on the leaderboard are either actively killing other players or using that mechanic.

All I can imagine is a Wolverine like lumberjack cracking open some coconuts

Seems like an interesting story premise. I hope the chapter length stays similar throughout was getting tored of really short chapters in other novels.

Enjoying the change of pace in narration style while still being cultivation focused.
