This wasn't baseless. There are people who studied the proportions of each model and found out that MEI was the biggest of all the other Meis. Even the APHO Mei fell behind 2 places compared to MEI. It was a close fight, but MEI wins ;)
In the canon, Ratio Technique slices right through Cursed Spirits. It's just the Ratio Technique without the Domain (Nanami did not have a domain). I wondered how broken it would be when it has a domain, and judging from the directions of CTs with Domains, it's either amped to the next level (Sukuna) or another ability is derived (Infinity, from the concepts of attraction and repulsion). Aleph realized its Domain, so it got amped by several levels.
