Misunderstanding Story Merciless MC , true that . Even though he has reason he still kills mortals like it's nothing. But this is just how the world is , also just imagine what he had to go through because of all the stuff happening to his mother who was the only one who supported him from the very beginning. Characters are indeed bit shallow but we can ignore that considering how exciting the plot is . Story explains why MC does this and that , it's true he is bit broken but we have to adjust with MC's perspective. I can maybe understand why people hate this . They can't adjust with such merciless MC like how I can't tolerate MC having harem unless he has a decent reason to give up on a woman for another. Ok, let's forget that , I will talk about plot armour . There is indeed plot armour , it's like everything that happens in story is a stepping stone for MC but hey , who cares about it since we can enjoy the story. Romance , there is no such thing in his dictionary until a woman wanted to have *** life with our MC for a while until it was time for him to leave. Because of that experience, he ended developing feelings for a particular woman. MC will always take revenge because it is part of his cultivation existence , you will understand as your read. There is nothing repetitive in the story , I guess that's the reason why everything indirectly ended up being stepping stones for our mc. That's it , I hope you got an idea about how the plot is , you just need to accept the fact MC is bit broken . If he truly is broken he wouldn't have found love(like i said before, initially romance wasn't in his dictionary). In fact you can maybe adjust with how MC is broken when you remember his main pursuit is power
