Okay I'm going to take the dive and start reading this, hopefully with the warning of all the things you pointed out, i have prepared myself to tolerate issues i would otherwise have been majorly irritated at. Thanks for the through review as it help unbiased my expectations.
so really out of place comment but i had to wait a bit to unlock more chapters after leaving off at chapter 592's ending, and in the meanwhile i head-canoned that the brother Mo Jiu would be happy mocking his sister cause author-san laid really good the groundwork that it was really plausible that the son was neglected in favor of spoiling the daughter there....face-slapping scene are cathartic. and i so happily surprised that i was proven right; glad Mo Jiu never chased his dad but super sad that when his mom died, he was orphaned even though he still had a "family", kind of hoping to see that he gets his own found family through the fall of his blood one...maybe with the soon-to-be-ex stepmom/sister?
