I know it wouldn’t be the most effective use of the towers but would it not be significantly easier and safer to simply build a tower outside of the dark fog and activate it to clear some of it before building another tower further in and doing that? Because then they wouldn’t need to deal with the humanoids of dark sky at all and they wouldn’t risk casualties.
The relationship between the Humanoids of Dark Sky and the Dark Fog was akin to that of fish and the ocean. They could not exist outside its range, so the radiant light filled them with terror.

Do you have to gather the materials yourself or can you buy them? What is the actual difference between being given the stuff you sacrifice and earning the stuff?

I feel like this would be a pretty big issue for his willpower, beelze didn’t seem to remember anything from before she was so why would she remember being beelze this time? The person in the dream world is very likely a completely different person. The fact that cain could never get over her death and carries her coffin with him everywhere even before he knew her soul had went to the dream world suggests that her death was extremely influential to his ego and you’d expect that to cause more of an issue here
Cain's eyes widened as he saw a shadowy figure resembling the first woman who had gained his heart and then perished. Yet, soon his willpower burst forth, and she vanished.
