I think Iris was stolen and sold or something. They probably think she is dead in her home continent. I’m thinking she’s an older twin or something.

I don’t think the current Serafín has any negative thoughts like Iris at this point. Maybe the power is split between them. That’s why they get sick. They are incomplete parts of a soul maybe.
