"That's some skill" reads better
"That's the skill you have there. Seems you can use your tongue to do more than inflicting wounds on people's ego," he said appreciatively.

That way, it reads, "It's amusing" instead of "It's a boy amusing" which doesn't make sense.
Zafron, still processing the shock, shook his head in disbelief. "I don't know," he murmured. "But Vex's reputation precedes him. A certified womanizer if there ever was one. It's a boy amusing though how he moved from Matilda to now one of if not her closest friends,"

'Maybe she's secretly insane,' he pondered. 'Rich people can afford to be eccentric, right? For all I know, she collects ex-slaves like some people collect stamps. Or maybe this is all an elaborate prank for some twisted reality show. "Punk'd: Drakoria Edition."'

I'm really enjoying the story, but one thing I can't stand so far is that they just accept Steele's words without any evidence. I understand that he's solved several cases, but I assume that those were also solved using his ability. All of his cases are closed by whatever he says happened. This doesn't line up with how professional the enforcer officers I imagine in my mind would accept. It seems like a large rather reach that these officers would just accept what he says happened. Just cause he can see what happened ≠ what he says happened
