well it doesn't need to be now, but it would be cool if he somehow crafts the Samaritan so that he owns a kinda magic gun, that and the many bullets he could use like Hellboy's rounds, custom-made, are tipped with explosive shells that contain white oak, holy water, garlic, and silver shavings. These ingredients, each bearing a folkloric power to impede evil and/or specific monsters (e.g. vampires,werewolves, witches, etc.) or Albert's Elder Sign bullets.
well it doesn't need to be anything to much, maybe something like a multitool or some autolockpick could be good, there is also the option of him somehow acquiring gadgets from someone else
or the Samaritan from Hellboy(2019) which are guns made out of unique materials which includes a grips carved from fragments of the True Cross. The metal of the gun is forged from a combination of Irish church bells, cold iron from crucifixes, blessed silver, and other mystic metals.
