don't worry with the small stuff and details of the games if you don't have them. as Jake said, just the headlines make for a full schedule. if you're lost, just move the story forward till you reach the moments you care about. and welcome back!

you got a 4 out inning.

Sean got jammed and popped out to short. Followed by a fly out to center by Brian and our inning was over.

closer distance and lower speed will give you equal reaction times, but lower energy of the ball. so launching HR is actually harder. especially for someone like Jake

for the twins? or as a teenager for his own team?

not sure what the pitching distance in a HR derby is, but if it's the standard 18m, than no matter how athletic you are, you won't be even decent in hitting the strike zone without practice. and unless Wayne has some baseball activities unknown to us, I would think he would appreciate the gesture but decline, to give Jake better odds of winning by choosing someone consistent.

come to think of it, has Wayne ever played any baseball with his boys, since Jake joined the family? is he even athletic?

I'd vote for Noah as his pitcher for the HR derby. and since Jeremy and Zeke will also be part of the hitting squad, he might as well throw to all 3 [img=recommend]

his no strike out stat in games should be mentioned in the future again during the national team tryouts. like coaches discussion when some pencil pusher argues that no one should get a free pass after one tryout. or to shut up some disgruntled parents of different second base player that gets cut off the team. some cheap face slapping [img=faceslap]

how many teenagers (or adults for that matter) use their free time to better themselves? even 15-30 minutes a day? in an area that you have on your agenda daily? more likely he has his fill of baseball with practice and games. his love for the sport isn't like Noah's. And coaches at practice focus on his weak areas (running, fielding, stamina, arm strength). just saying Jake's no super hero with a system. his (non) development is perfectly normal, even more so considering his personal history

more likely to give Jake laps, for a "mental error" of allowing the chatter get to him... and get Dave to join to build stamina (low key punishment)
