The books are more accurate, also, while the show does follow the game, there are still things that have been changed that simply contradicts both the game and the book. That’s the reason why Henry Cavill lost the role as Geralt for his insistence on following the game as he is a major fan of the franchise. At least he accepts the fact that the only changes between the book and the game is Ciri’s age, none other than that.

It’s true. In Freya and Loki Familia only have one actual swordsmaster, Ais and Ottar. Hedin may have a sword staff, he is more of a red mage in Final Fantasy early games which are more or less mages that is capable of close combat, one of the Gulliver brothers may have a great sword, but his stature makes his weapon of choice more of a bonk stick. All in all, none, other than Ottar and Ais, are an actual swordsmasters. If you count Leon (according to the latest volumes, uses many weapons and swords is one of them) may be the last swordsmaster he’ll ever face but he’s kind of crossed out because he switches weapons mid fight if his weapon gets destroyed that came from his skill. But if he used his sword, I don’t think he would have an actual chance due to possible difference is the weapon unless he can master Armament Haki.
But still, he wants to go against a real person with excellent swordsmanship and check how effective his passive skill is compared to the actual Swordsman
