Cia kept secret that she lost her memories of the period between when Quinn wiped it out and when Cindy brought it back. With Cindy intentionally distorting the information the current Cia has, and with Cindy being so nice to her, she went from a decent relationship with Quinn to a dubious one.
It was only later when Cia had returned and learnt a bit more about the weapons she realised that they were meant to be kept a secret. Of course, later through general curiosity and asking leading questions she figured out Alex was slightly different from them.

Finally, the military's ship had landed and they had chosen to bring one of the new Bertha models to show off to the others. A top state of the line ship, there were only eight of them in existence.

Actually, couldn't he just copy any other poison user and a few people with decent MC cell counts? Merging them all together would gt him past the threshold of 8 ridiculously easily. Moreover, it was shown in the past with Raten that the limitations of levels and when certain functions of abilities unlock are met with the combination. Like when Raten was using Peter’s old earth abilities remotely even when Peter couldn't. The only question, really, is if he can copy Paul’s poison, or any other ability from a vampire that can also be learned by a human.
Quinn was relieved now. It looked like they finally had a way to remove the poison from his friends. With Sil having just copied the ability, they would have twenty four hours to remove the poison, which was plenty of time.
