It's also the *only* saving grace of DxD since it literally has nothing else to offer and its extremely lazy, broken, messy, inconsistent and shallow worldbuilding/characters are just not worth the titanic amounts of effort that would be required to actually make it all work in a logical manner (and at that point it wouldn't even be DxD since it'd just be OCs wearing the skin of og characters and poorly pretending to be them). There are plenty of other verses where proper monogamous romance can be written without tearing down the entire thing and writing a completely different and unrelated original story that for some reason tries to wear the mask of another one.
