Although I agree, being in an environment with such people CAN influence you mentally over time. Plus, I wouldn't want to risk having to deal with arranged marriages or the like.
'Well muggle is obviously out, as is muggle-born, that's almost worse in some of the fics I've read. I don't want to be a Nazi-esqe person that believes blood is pure and incest is ok, so, half-blood it is.'

The feeling of ai writing is overwhelming in this chapter. Please don't let it ruin another fanfic I've become interested in 🥺.
Although I'm pretty sick of evil MCs as well, I have a much bigger issue with the MCs referring to themselves as evil, or at the very least, "not good." It makes me feel like authors are treating readers as idiots incapable of making their own conclusions. That, or they are desperate to portray their characters as evil to fit the trend, even when not everyone would actually consider them evil.
In truth, Sanders didn't really care about those civilians. Whether they lived or died was none of his business, as long as he wasn't the one killing them. He had felt some sympathy for the slaves earlier, but he wasn't about to act like a babysitter and help them survive. He had given them some supplies and let them escape, but whether they lived or died was their problem—not his.

Not a fan of offal myself. Even the name sounds like aweful. Even worse, my parents loved things like liver and chicken hearts. ... Always trying to get me to eat them, talking about how good they are for my health. 😱

I'm surprised no one has commented on this. Having to take a two hour long train ride to school, and another two hour long one home sounds absolutely horrifying....
"That's okay… I live pretty far away. It's about a two-hour train ride," Gotoh replied honestly.

It's more that you expect people to have a conscience and start being better people in response to your own actions. It may be useless in your eyes, but it's not in everyone's. It certainly something most people would consider a naive thought, but that's the sort of thought process actual Christianity encourages. ie. forgiveness, unconditional love, and making the world a better place. Obviously nearly no Christians are actually following said teachings because they tend to be so self sacrificing with no visible benefits.

Sociopaths aren't people lacking in emotions. They are people lacking in empathy, meaning they can't connect with other people's emotions. Sociopaths can, and absolutely do, experience plenty of emotions.
I'm not a sociopath however. I just have my emotions a bit dulled. I still feel happy and sad. I still enjoy things, but not as much as I did before.

Exactly. Just the possibility of them being real people could mess someone up mentally real bad if they go on a murder spree.
'For now, I should consider this as a real world,' Tanaka thought.

I wish there was more Kitty Pryde as well, but let's be honest - her personality would probably not mesh with Lara's. I'm already "proud" of the author for actually taking into account personality compatabilities and past interactions when deciding who works well with the MC. Kitty Pryde would kind of undo that. She's too opposed to killing in the main stories. Of course, there are variations where she does kill - brutally so. The author has every right to write her whatever way he wants, and such a variation might suit Lara. Plus, Kitty has a lot of potential herself, and can avoid a lot of overlap wity Lara by having advantages in areas outside of just winning a figbt. ie. Infiltration capabilities and having one of the ultimate defenses that she can also apply to others. I hope the author avoids making Wanda a love interest if it's a solo love interest. It feels like 95% of marvel fanfics without a harem (and 100% of those with) have Wanda and/or Natasha as a love interest, which makes the romance lack any variety. Jean is fairly popular, but mostly in harems, and Marvel fanfics avoid including mutants, so she's not as overused.
