hope he at least puts some synthetic skin on top of the chrome
"Gotta get used to it little by little. Victor said even the strongest arms come with safe modes, so I can get one now, just keep the strength capped till my bones get used to it. Let's hit the shop tomorrow. Time to punk up with some chrome."

the rippler is the best
For most of the chrome, I just picked equivalent replacements. I spent a long time deciding on the deck. It was between the Tetratronic Rippler, fourth version, and a private-use Arasaka model. The former offered extra memory, while the latter was better for stealth scripts, making it harder for enemy runners to detect. In the end, I went with the Rippler.

Sad but true. Maine has outdated and incompatable chrome that is pushing him to cyberpsychosis. He is also actively trying to install even more chrome. He has 0 common sense in that part. Dorio, well not much to say about her. Pilar escalates situations desnecessarily.
By that time, almost no one from Maine's gang would be left. I wasn't going to save them. If my memory of the future wasn't failing me, they were actively rushing toward their deaths. So let it be. Unlike them, David and Lucy had a chance, and most importantly, potential.

three cyberware malfunction and 1 short circuit, the "one shot" combo
The Wraiths' vehicles pressed forward. The maniacs in leather and painted helmets were shouting war cries, hyping themselves up. I saw one of the renegades lean out of a window, aiming a makeshift grenade launcher toward the factory. Was the distance close enough for me? Yeah. Just barely. I dumped every quickhack I had into him—optical failure, system overload, infection, overheating.

Just hit someone with a sandevistan with a cyberware malfunction and they just crawl in the ground.
I agreed, and spent the entire evening on the operating table. It's amazing. In my home world, such a procedure would've required days of rehabilitation. Here, I got away with dizziness and nausea for one evening. Self-dissolving stitches, regeneration stimulants, stem cells—just the wonders of science. The ripper prescribed me a course of pills to adapt to the implant. Now, I could slow down time for two and a half seconds to dodge or aim. It's no Sandevistan, not even close. Kereznikov doesn't speed me up. You won't be outrunning bullets with it.

You better get that chrome from dogtown
Pure instinct made me jump back, and the shotgun blast hit the spot I had just left. Alright. Quickhack. Seems like you need an implant malfunction, you fast bastard. Looks like it's sent, but the upload's taking time, and he's already closing in on me.

Thought the same haha
Not a master assassin this time. It was a woman's voice with a thick accent. I turned to see six grim-looking gangbangers. Voodoo Boys. No need to ask a fortune teller to tell you that, even if Misty was nearby.
