The second thing I was concerned about is my own possible slip up during this mission. There is no doubt about it that the mission is going to be very tense and stressful. I have no experience what so ever when it comes to facing death. And I am really nervous that in the face of death I might lose my controls on my Chakra. And with Kakashi on the team I can rest assured that he will definitely raise the question about why I was hiding my true reserves. Or if the situation call for it, I might have to use some of my hidden tricks. And those techniques will definitely raise question.

eh, he was a teenager when the fourth died so I don't think it was his responsibility to take care of Naruto when he had a godfather. He definitely could have helped in some way though.
Then there is the son of his late sensei. And honestly he didn't want the boy in his team. He was afraid that he won't able to handle him. He has ran away from his responsibility earlier. for a multiversal world hopper the danmachi falna system is way too limited/constricting. only three spells slots, need to do something arbitrarily difficult/impressive to gain power, need a divine to update. It may be the only option for the people of that world but for the mc, honestly, there are far better options to gain power. Assuming you don't want him to hop to DBZ for wishes/training/time chamber montage then come back with the power that makes the falna look like a joke then you could make it so that the piece of divinity in the falna ties him to the world his God or goddess is currently in and drags him back (maybe add an arbitrary countdown so he has a little time in other places). Another option is to say the falna puts the dimensional hops on cooldown or something.
So I have been struggling with making him face threats that can 'push' him past his limits to gain high-quality Excelia for his Falna to level up faster.
