This is yet another reason I continue to read guiltythree's work! Guilty doesn't bend for their characters. If there are hard truths, there will be hard truths and not "oh, you've found a new way, let's share it with the world!" Nah, there is manipulation, scheming, and witch burning IF you share your knowledge. Sure, some might be on board, but not everyone does things for the best intentions. Granted, it's not a punisher, darksouls level novel by no means, but Guilty's storytelling has such a realism element to it that makes this story so great!

True, very true. Then that could mean we get a new area to explore? I mean, she can't go back to Song's Domain, as you put it Nameless Temple is out of the question, Ivory Tower would also be in the middle of conflict and not a good place to train, and Sword Domain makes no sense and somewhat impossible. So the big question is: where can she do the extended training arc safely (outside the war, I mean)? hrm.....

so excited to finally read Rain's awakening! now I wonder what her flaw is and her aspect is too. also, after the fight, will the troublesome shadow kidnap Rain and bring her to the nameless temple to be his first legacy member?

Can we all agree that Guiltythree knows how to cook Gordon Ramsey level meals. Like, they can write about nothing while making it something and have it pertaining to significant importance. This author's skill to write webs and tangles to the point where I got no clue where we be heading (up is down, left is right and forward is backward and vice versa). Alice in Wonderland or even, and I dare say, Oda level inception. It's crazy.

Okay, so this is my first time reading this author's work, and here is my take after reading the first 100 chapters. Let's start with the good points. Firstly, for quality, the style is great. I am not going to lie. From the writing, you can tell the author has experience, and this isn't their first book. Next, descriptors and world building are done expertly. Their world is original, and they are able to paint a picture with their words- if you know what I mean (not choppy and also not word soup). Because this novel is a system themed novel, the system is concrete and well thought out. From levels, leveling, skills, classes, and rarity, they are well defined and leave little room for the reader to say "I don't understand, how is this supposedly lesser item/skill/class better than it's higher counterpart." Everything is defined and leaves very little holes or grey areas. However, I will now explain why I stopped reading after 100 chapters. Despite having good bones, the story has several problems. Firstly, the MC is indeed "overpowered," but it isn't just the class, it is everything they have and acquire. Practically, any skill they get immediately gets maxed out. No training needed. Second, the MC is a reincarnated person, yet doesn’t really have the mindset of one. If you ommit that element from the story and just say "mc is strongly favored by the gods" nothing would change. Third, even though MC is OP, he still gripes over NPCs of being "broken". Like, isn't he even more OP than them? Fourth, and I realized this is a harem, but every female that's introduced is attracted to him in a 1 dimensional way. There really isn't a development or depth to it, it just happens. Also, the heroines, to me, seem flat. They are just walking stereotypes. They have no originality. Fifthly, the story has no challenge to the MC. If I had to describe it, MC isn't even in easy mode, he's really just cruising through on Minecraft Creative Mode. Not even a walk in the park. Lastly, as a reader, I feel the author has missed out on some really creative liberties and instead went with common isekai tropes. One really good example sticks out. Recently, nearing chapter 100, mc got a familiar (which is still a broken one) but rather than sticking with mythical/legendary theme like the character who helped him hatch it had, the author went with overpowered common creature. Thematically, it would have been cool to see MC with a familiar that aligned with the necromancer class or his elven blood. Examples: Jormengandur, Thunderbird, hydra, Leshen, a fae of some sort, etc. It could have even been played off as a mythical pretending to be common, but the author went with trope. Granted, my gripes with this novel comes from the first 100 chapters and the author could have fixed things in later chapters (it is well over 1000 chapters) I do believe the first chapters of novel tend to foreshadow what is expected to come. Objectively, this novel is still a good read. The author wasn't lying about OP MC and the system and world is well thought out. The writing style, grammar and how the author defines and describes are all done at the quality of an experienced writer. But, it doesn't seem like the character faces true challenges. To save the world, it seems like he is strolling through a field barefoot and occasionally steps on a pebble. The author also has a tendency to follow main tropes and miss out on some really creative opportunities, which is truly disappointing. Things might have changed in later chapters, but for the first 100, this novel is how I describe. So, if these elements are what you are looking for for a long read novel, then look no further. I might have my opinions, but everyone has their own as well. So what I might not like about this novel could, in fact, be your jam. All I can say is that this novel is written by an experienced writer.

Really good book with a plethora of interesting characters. it is a completed work, so there is no need to wait for updates. However, book 2 hasn’t been provided as of June 2024. Characters, like I said, are numerous, and very few are repeats. MC has an interesting and somewhat overpowered skill set, but the author has MC learn his skills rather than have mastery out the gate. It's a great fantasy read for sure.

So the movies, is Sunless's character still in it? The movie was made and recorded before the whole "removed from fate" incident. I could potentially see his "character" referred to "nameless sleeper 1, 2, 3 and so on"

There were even movies made about her, horrendous as they were.

Sunny and Crew are also dealing with a Nightmare where the rules of time are thrown out the window. They experienced (well Sunny and Neph) an event where a year passed in what they felt was a brief period. They also experienced a "Groundhog Day" event. Then the "frozen in time" Twilight experience and now this Looping event that has impact (I refer to it as such because the other event did not have impact or effect on the subsequent loops though Sunny did eventually gained the recollection of the loops). What I am trying to get at is that our concept of time may not hold water, and thus, millions of years may pass in this Nightmare but as soon as they leave, no time in the real world has passed. They might still have aged and Effie would still have had her child, but outside would be on pause until they rejoined.

these last few chapters I feel like maximize the effectiveness and sheer horror Sunny can deliver with his abilities. The author pretty much has presented a "this is how devastating Sunny is if he is faced with a threat from a human group." We don't know if Nightmare or Saint are active with him but just imagine what could be. Another thing: Sunny hasn't been maxed out in Antarctica. IF he had the Serpent in the horde fights.... yikes.

Really good book. The author has a wonderful grasp on world building by not only showing it through the eyes of the main character but other side characters as well. Side note: I got to hate/love the antagonists. They are truly amazing road blocks and obstacles towards the narrative.
