The cameos are really killing the story. Can't we have some original characters? Why does it have to be a direct copy of the original actor, this time he even has the same name as Jackie Chan, not just 'random name' that happens to be a spitting image of Jackie.
A good ending, definitely rushed but most fics seem to end like that. After taking down Bleach and Marvel, there's not much else out there that would be challenging or interesting. DC would just be more of the same and any other popular world would just be too weak for the Akatsuki. Other than worlds with true gods and eldritch beings, there's not much more to compel interest.
Agreed. This story fails at its main premise by having people completely fail to react to what they're shown. Everyone focuses on the fight being highlighted rather than the tons of information they're getting. Just the fact that Sabo remains the same despite seeing scenes of him, Luffy and Ace playing around as kids is a big fail. No one cares that Kuro is still alive, in fact Usopp and Kaya are just calmly watching the first fight and talking about how he's gonna be strong in the future, not a care about the deadly pirate acting as her butler. No reaction from Crocodile seeing Robin with the straw hats. Nothing from Big Mom seeing one of her daughters held prisoner by Moria. Just nothing but 'ooh Luffy so stonk, will he win this fight or lose?'. Even when they do react, it's something stupid and over the top. Like we're supposed to believe that Sengoku and the three admirals are actually wary about Nightmare Luffy. Like they couldn't put him in the ground with one blow.
Such a contradictory system here. He can develop a disguise skill and it doesn't matter if he does it well, just that he does it for long enough. Yet the same doesn't apply to any combat skills? Just throwing a straight jab a few hundred times a day takes more consistent effort than his half ass disguises.
40 children in 5 years... how!?
Ehh, the whole 'don't kill the son for the sins of the father' thing doesn't really apply in this case. Obviously Sengoku already knew Ace's parentage for a long time and did nothing about it for the 17ish years Ace was growing up under Garp. The news didn't spread either after Ace went and became a pirate before joining Whitebeard. It's only after Teach handed him over and they were going to execute him anyways that he used the news to drum up more PR and increase morale for the Marines.
Are these machines battery powered? How exactly is he powering everything.
Really? A lot of their other works seem so much better than this one. I found myself getting constantly annoyed by how much of the word count was just a repeat of things that have already been stated before. Not to mention how much of the dialogue between characters was just repeated exposition on things both parties, and the reader, already know. Cut those parts out and this could have been 50 chapters shorter with nothing lost.
